Naomi stepped up the stairs, the doors to the corridor already crumbled. She finally got back up to the first floor and looked around. Nobody was there, not even Skylar. She wanted to feel betrayed, but she knew they would have to evacuate just in case Naomi didn't.

She ran over to the edge of the platform and leaped down, landing roughly on her feet. She swerved over and sat on the meditation spot. holding onto the books tightly until all she could see was pure white.

Naomi opened her eyes and felt relieved when she heard the beeping of fellow Sky children. She looked around, seeing Skylar talking to a child.

"Hey!" Naomi called out, stepping over. Skylar politely dismissed the child before floating over to Naomi. Skylar's expression dropped when she saw how little books she had.

"Six books?" Skylar questioned, putting her hand on her hip and leaning to the side to see Naomi's hidden face.

"That was all the Library had," Naomi plopped the stack of books down and evenly distributed them. The feeling of talking to an Elder to the far left, then the two explaining what talking to an Elder is in the middle, then the three explaining how on the far right.

The old teacher walked over and looked down.

"Great Eden... this looks bad. Is that... all you could save?" He looked at Naomi, his face full of distain.

"I could hardly manage with just these. I'm sorry."

The old man wailed and sat down, plopping his hands over his face. He shook his head. He clearly didn't want to accept the fact that his home was gone.

"We'll get the Vault back! I just... have to talk to the Elders!"

Skylar let out a quick scoff and turned to glance around.

"I'm gonna go talk to some of the other kids," Skylar decided awkwardly. She turned, but paused as Naomi grabbed her hand.

"Are you not gonna help me or anything?" Naomi had her brows furrowed, but her expression was hidden under her mask.

"What do you expect me to do, Naomi?" Skylar tore her hand away. Naomi balled her hands into fists. "There's nothing for me to help you with. This is something you caused, so you're just going to have to deal with it."

"Skylar!" Naomi cried out for her, but she was already storming off. Naomi shook her head a little and looked down some. Great. She had managed to screw things up with Skylar now too. Naomi felt like breaking down then and there, but she kept her composure and sat back down to study the books more.

After a good while of reading, she had a slight idea of what to do. She closed the final book and let out a breath. She looked up to find the old man. She grabbed the last book and then walked towards him, tapping his shoulder with her free hand. He turned to look down at her.

"Do you have an idea of how to do it?" He asked, hopefully.

"I think I do. Do you know a good area where 'magic is strong?'"

"Obviously that slab with the manta carving on it is a very powerful spot." He nodded his head over. She followed his gaze and nodded.

"Cool. I think I can do it."

"Good luck, young one."

Naomi walked over and announced for the other children to step off of the rock. They politely obeyed and she sat in the middle. She let out a soft breath as she closed her eyes.
