The other three rushed into the room to find Jennie on the other side of a bookshelf that had been knocked over onto its side, staring at a girl who was tied up and chained to a chair. After a few minutes of them all speechlessly staring at the tied up girl, they finally brought themselves to ask the girl what had happened to her.
"What happened?" Clovis asked, the girl remained silent, but her eyes kept glancing over at the door, almost as if she were trying to tell them something. "Is someone there?" Jennie asked, while turning to look at the door. "Ah!" Clovis yelled, while jerking forward and running into Daniel. "What are you doing" Daniel asked, while turning towards her. "Something grabbed me" Clovis told him, while looking around trying to figure out who had grabbed her. "There's no one there, you probably just imagined it" Jennie told her, while walking toward the girl. "I didn't imagine it. I swear someone just grabbed my arm, " Clovis said. "You have been paranoid since we got here, you probably are just on edge" Jennie said, getting very irritated. "I didn't imagine it" Clovis muttered to herself. Once Jennie had made her way over to the girl, the girl shook her head and motioned with her hand to move back while looking back at the door. "What?" Jennie asked.
Just then, the door slammed shut. Clovis, Daniel, and Sean all jumped and ran to where Jennie and the girl were. "Who did that!" Clovis blurted out. "Shhhh!" Jennie hissed, "Do you know who is here?" Jennie asked the girl. "It's dangerous, be careful" the girl warned. "It's? What do you mean by its?" Jennie asked. "You need to get out of here before it's too late" the girl told them while pointing to a hole in the wall. "You can go through that and you will be outside" the girl told them. Jennie walked towards the door and tried to open it "it's locked" Jennie said while jiggling the doorknob. "What do you mean? Just unlock it, " Sean told her. "It won't unlock" Jennie said while trying to unlock the door. "Is this some kind of joke" Jennie asked the girl. "No, you need to leave. It's going to come back" the girl said anxiously. Then they heard a deep groaning sound coming from the other side of the door. "Quick! Go while you can!" The girl begged them them.
Clovis headed toward the hole in the wall while the others stood still in shock. "What are you doing" Jennie asked her while grabbing her and pulling her away from the hole. "Lets leave, whatever is here, clearly doesn't want us here" Clovis told her, while trying to pull away from her. "It's probably nothing, it's probably just a prank or something" Jennie told her while staring at the closed door. "Whatever it is, I'm not staying to find out" Clovis said, while jerking away from Jennie. "You aren't leaving, we're going to be fine. Calm down, alright?" Jennie told her while getting in front of her and blocking the hole.
Seconds later, the groaning shadowy figure came bursting through the door. The four of them screamed, and all rushed to get out of the room, but they all fell over each other, then got drug back by the shadowy figure. It then yelled, "get out!" at them. Seconds after it yelling at them to get out, they all regained consciousness while laying on the floor. "What just happened" Clovis asked while sitting up and looking at the chair where the girl was sitting. "Hey, where'd she go?" Jennie asked, while staring at the empty chair. "Maybe it took her" Clovis said while inching closer to the hole in the wall. "Maybe we should go" Daniel told them. "It's fine, whatever it was probably won't come back. At least not right away, it's probably busy messing around with that girl" Jennie told him while walking toward the door that is now open. "Why can't we just go" Clovis said while standing still. "Come on, we have seen little of the hotel yet. We'll be fine, " Jennie told her, while walking out of the room with Sean. Clovis and Daniel stared at each other for a minute before following.
"Where'd they go," Daniel said, while looking around. "They couldn't have gotten too far, they just left the room" Clovis told him, while looking around the corner. Daniel and Clovis' flashlights both suddenly cut off and left them both surrounded by darkness. They both tried to turn them back on, but they were dead. "What are we going to do? We can't see, so now how are we supposed to find them?" Clovis asked. "Text Jennie and tell her to come back" Daniel told her, while still trying to turn the flashlight on. "My phone is dead" Clovis told him while slipping it back into her pocket. "Mine is too" Daniel responded in confusion. "I had charged my phone before I came over. How is it dead already. I haven't even used it" Clovis explained. "Mine was charged up to at least 50% when I came over. It shouldn't be dead already, " Daniel told her while trying again to turn the flashlight on.
A sudden cold breeze blew by them, but no windows or doors were open. The two stood there silent and confused, then they heard "why are you still here," come roaring at them from down the hall. It was the shadowy figure. "What do we do? It's still here and sounds even angrier than before," Clovis loudly whispered. "We should go," Daniel told her while grabbing her arm and feeling his way back into the room and following the cold air to the hole in the wall. "But what about Jennie and Sean? We can't just leave them," Clovis told him while trying to pull his hand off her arm. "Well, we can't stay here and it isn't like we can find them right now. We need to go back to her house, try to get our phones to turn on, then we can text them and find out where they are. Maybe after we find out where they are, we can either head toward where they are or we can try to have them find their way out," Daniel told her then pulled her down to where she could crawl out through the hole. "Fine, but we need to get back to her house quickly. I have a bad feeling about leaving them here with that thing," Clovis told him while slowly crawling through the hole.
Once they made it back to Jennie's house, they came inside to find a note that wasn't there when they left. "How did that get there?" Clovis said while staring at the note. Daniel shrugged, then picked it up and opened it. "What does it say?" Clovis asked when she saw the uneasy look appear on Daniel's face. "Um, I think you were right. Maybe we shouldn't have left," Daniel told her, while handing her the note. "You shouldn't have left," Clovis read out loud nervously. "Should we go back now? What if it is planning on harming them?" Clovis said to him, while grabbing for the doorknob. "Wait, there's no way we will find them with no information. We need to get our phone's to turn on so we can text them and figure out where exactly they are before we go back there," Daniel told her while trying to turn his phone on. "Huh, that's weird," Daniel said while staring at his phone. "What is it?" Clovis asked. "My phone isn't dead, it's still at the same percent it was at when we left to go to the hotel," he explained. Clovis pulled her phone out of her pocket and tried to turn it on. "That's weird, my phone is the same way," she said while slowly laying her phone down on the couch. "Well either way, we still need to get them to find a way out or at least find out where they are so we can try to find them and get them out of there," Clovis told him. "Uhh, all of my contacts have been deleted," Daniel told her, then put his phone down. "What?" She asked while opening her phone. "Wait, mine are too. What is happening?" she said in an alarmed tone. "I don't know, but we need to get back to where they are before anything else can go wrong," he told her while going to the door and opening it.
When they made it back to the hotel, the wood from the boarded up door had been broken out. "Do you think they found their way out?" Clovis asked him while getting against the fence and trying to see into the building better. "I don't know, but if they did, where would they have gone? We didn't pass them on our way back and they weren't at her house" he told her as he started walking around to the back of the hotel. Clovis followed him and they both looked around in hope to find them, but unfortunately they had no luck. "Should we head back to Jennie's house? Maybe somehow they went a way we all missed each other and maybe her and Sean could be back at her house?" Clovis asked. "Maybe, I guess lets go back and check" He told her.
They got back to Jennie's house and there was Jennie and Sean, both panting heavily from running, but both safe. "How did you guys get out?" Daniel asked. "We broke out the wood from one door that lead outside. The figure kept yelling at us to get out and then our phones and flashlights acted like they died so we didn't really have any other choice but to find a way out," Jennie explained breathlessly. "The same thing happened with us," Daniel told her, while looking to see if his phone was still at 50%. "Why did the note say that we shouldn't have left if we all are safe," Clovis asked while looking at everyone. "I don't know, but at least we all are safe," Daniel said while looking at the open note laying on the arm of the couch where Clovis had left it.
Since it was late and the four had all gotten good enough of a scare, they all went back home. Feeling safe that they were all home and away from the hotel, they all peacefully went to bed. Little did they know, the night was not over, but it had just begun.
