Amelia met Jaylen at school in the library they started a close friendship after that. Amelia also dated one of John's bullies (Jack) and Jaylen almost ended their friendship but soon Amelia broke up with Jack because of multiple reasons. First Jack would normally yell at Amelia for making mistakes, this how she developed her phobia. Second, Amelia didn't like the idea of dating of someone who hurts others. Finally, It was obvious that Jack never actually like Amelia, The only reason he dated her is because he wanted to closer to Jaylen because he actually had a thing for Jaylen.
