"What is the meaning of this?" mr Clarkson asks, confusion and annoyance in his tone
Kevin looks at him and then at me
I sniff and wipe the tears off my cheeks, I can't stand the pity on his face, not from him.
"Don't look at me like that!" I scream as I cry escapes me
"Dynasty, dynasty what happened?" he replied Kevin takes a step foward,
"Please sir, not tonight. she needs sleep and rest" he looks at me with a worried smile
Me Clarkson sighs and frowns at us, " I will expect an explanation in the morning but for now you will spend the night in the school house to make sure of your safety, usually its no boys in girls rooms but ill talk to mrs budgen and we will make an exception"
"Thanks sir" Kevin replies giving a watery smile to him, I nod and try to smile myself but it is to hard.

We are left to gather belongings I sniff as I pick up clothes off the bed and feel an arm on my shoulder, I flinch and turn to see Kevin's face, the hurt that I would cower at him
"I'm sorry kev... I just..." I mutter
"Dynasty it's ok" he reassures me, his hand is outstretched to tuck a piece of hair behind my ear but he pauses and decides against it. we travel in silence to the school house, it's dark now and when we get there the lights are all out and there is only the sound of mrs budgen worriedly pacing whilst stirring mugs of hot beverages. she notices are arrival and says nothing but hands us our drinks whilst festering towards the kitchens wooden table. I sit and stare at the drink, entwining my fingers with the mugs hot surface, mrs budgen hands me a tissue and I smile toward her, taking it and wining my eyes and nose. smeared mascara stains the pristine white material, I feel stares on me and look up, "dynasty did you hear me?" mr Clarkson asks in a gentle voice, I apologetically shake my head and he gets up staring," its been a long night, get some sleep you'll have tomorrow off, ill be around once everyone has left." he nods and smiles reassuringly and the leaves. me and Kevin climb up the stairs slowly and quietly, we enter a spare room, "I know they said I can stay with you but...if you want a night alone I understand." I am taken aback no if purse I don't want that, "please Kevin no, I want you to stay I don't want to be alone" he gives a sad smile and slowly steps towards me wrapping his warm arms around me, I cling on to him feeling secure and at home. mrs budgen knocks and we part ourselves as she enters, "clean clothes pet" she hands both me and Kevin some night clothes that smell if lavender, "night" she says in a sad voice, she leaves us and I step into the bathroom to get changed and look into the mirror, I gasp, there's a deep purple bruise on my right cheek and my lips are swollen, there is smudged mascara down my face, my tights are ripped, the only thing that looks acceptable is the long black jumper, I shake my head to myself and start running the taps to have a bath. I need it. I undress and ease myself into the long bath, I groan from the many bruises on my lower back. I tilt my head back and soak my hair in the water, I sigh in relief as the hot water consumes me, after soaking for several minutes I drag myself from the water and dry myself tentatively, probing gently at the bruises, I dress in the oversized soft material and scrape my hair back into a low messy bun. I leave the bathroom and enter the spare room. Kevin sits on the bed, "nice bath?" he asks, I nod my head and smile at his perfect face, "come here you" he jokes and shuffles me towards him he hugs me and I hug him back, we walk to the bed and climb in, he kisses the bruises on my back and cheek, soothing me, his arms wrapped around my torso and his head resting in the nape of my neck, I drift of not thinking about what is what and what's to be but just of what is right now and with that thought I snuggle closer into Kevin behind me and close my eyes.
