Tiny rays of light were starting to peak pass the curtains in Rosie's room. Slowly, starting to shine on the sleepy girl still in bed, not moving a muscle, drained from her night with you. The clothes you ripped off her still scattered across the floor. Despite her many plans for the day, Rosie stayed curled up in her blankets, arms clinging to a pillow. Not ready for last night to be in the past just yet.
The bedroom door creaks open, the light from the hallway spilling in. "Roseanne, time to wake up! You have your hair appointment in an hour and a half." Her mom said peeking her head through the open doorway. Noticing that her daughter didn't so much as glance at her, she walked in, sitting at the edge of her bed lightly setting her hand on the girl's shoulder. Rosie looked so peaceful sleeping. Eyes shut, lips slightly pursed, round cheeks.
It'd be a lie to say her mom didn't feel bad for having to wake up the baby of the family. She gave the girl a few more seconds, not being able to help but glance around the room. Usually, Rosie kept her room very clean and organized, so the clothes that were skewed across the floor, caught her eye. She didn't dwell on the thought for much longer because Rosie started to stir awake. Groaning at the need to actually wake up and do stuff. "Good morning!" Her mom said in such a bright and cheery voice, clearly wide awake and ready for the day. "good morning..." Rosie responded in her groggy, deeper morning voice, turning to look at her mom sitting at her side.
Knowing her mom wasn't gonna leave until she actually did something to show she was waking up she rolled onto her back letting out one last yawn before sitting up fully, stretching her arms out above her head. Looking at her mom with half a smile, trying to get herself to keep her eyes open. "You have alot of appointments you need to make today. So come on get up now." She patted Rosie's leg. "I made breakfast too, so come eat before it gets cold." Rosie slumped her shoulders, not wanting to do anything but enjoy the comfort of her bed a little longer. Or more accurately reminisce, while lounging around in your favorite t-shirt that she so proudly stole from you.
Before standing up to leave, her mom gives her one last look over, taking notice of the baggy shirt she has on. Not recognizing it in the slightest. "I'll be down in a sec, just let me get ready real quick." Mrs. Park pats her leg again, tilting her head to the side. "New shirt?" The question catching Rosie off guard, causing the girl to unconsciously blush. "Uhm...you could say that?"
Mrs. Park just nods getting off the bed, instantly remembering that she's seen Y/N wear that very shirt before. Deciding not to say anything, she let's it be. "Okay. Well hurry up. I'll be downstairs with your sister." She exits the room, and Rosie immediately falls back into the bed, letting out a long sigh, hating the fact that her bed felt so much more comfortable now then it did when she was asleep.
Her moms little remark about the shirt got her thinking, wondering if her mom somehow already knew. She dismissed it though, not wanting it to bother her, she was gonna keep it a secret forever if possible.
After getting ready she ran down the stairs, joining her older sister and mom at the table in the kitchen.
"Oh there she is. Was wondering what it was gonna take to drag you out of bed." Alice said while stuffing a fork full of food into her mouth. Rosie ignored her, tunneling her vision on the food in front of her instead. Piling the various breakfast items onto her plate, her mouth starting to water as the aroma of the food hit her senses. It was only now that she realized how hungry she was, a low grumble coming from her stomach.
"Alice! Leave her be. I'm sure she just had a really good night's sleep." Alice snickered. "Hmm, if I didn't know better I'd say she didn't do much sleeping at all last night." Rosie nearly choked on her food, dropping her fork with a loud clank as it clashed with the plate below. Her eyes shooting to her sister, who had a devilish grin spread across her face. "Oh what's wrong baby sis." Alice teased, patting Rosie on the back.
Rosie cleared her throat and picked her fork back up, shaking her head, avoiding looking back at her sister. Alice starts chuckling to herself.
"Alice. It's Rosie's day today. I'm sure she's nervous as it is, she doesn't need you adding to it." Alice puts both her hands up in an innocent fashion. "I haven't done anything mom. I'm literally just eating. Besides it's just a dance. I'm sure the future Mrs. Y/L/N has gone to a high school dance before." Mrs. Park giving her that typically mom look, not wanting to deal with her sarcasm. "Well it's her LAST homecoming. Let her enjoy it! For that you can clear the table when we're done." Alice let out a huff of air in annoyance, rolling her eyes when her mom looked away.
"Yeah. Let me enjoy it!" Rosie chimed back with a grin, taking another bite of her breakfast. Hearing her sister on the brink of getting in trouble for no reason made her giddy. At least now, the attention was taken off of her.
For the time being the rest of breakfast went smoothly. Nothing but the clanking of forks scraping against plates. Curiosity got the best of Rosie when she realized her dad hadn't joined them for breakfast yet and they were all nearly done. "Where's dad?"
Mrs. Park finishes up her food and clears her plate, taking it to the sink. "He got an urgent call early this morning, so he left already. But he's going to try to make it back before you leave. I know he wants to see you off before your big night." Rosie nodded knowing how seriously her dad takes his job. "Well you better finish up, I don't want you to miss your appointment. You should head out soon."
Rosie takes another big bite, gulping down the food.
The doorbell rings, catching everyone's attention. Sliding the door open, Jennie peaks her head inside. "Rosie?" She enters the house comfortably, walking into the kitchen. "Oh, of course it'd be you! Good morning Jennie!" Jennie flashes a big smile in Mrs. park's direction for the warm welcome. The intrusion not bothering her whatsoever. Being Rosie's best friend, came with that expectation. Because how could Jennie possibly call herself a best friend if she didn't make herself feel at home in the Park household.
"Good Morning, my second favorite family in the world!" Jennie greeted, lunging at some toast in the center of the table. "Rosie you ready to go? I tried calling you but you didn't pick up."
Rosie finished up the last of her breakfast. "Oh, left my phone in my room. Sorry." She got up giving her plate to her mom.
Quickly, running upstairs with Jennie trailing behind, Rosie made her way back to her room. Jennie stopped in her tracks seeing the various clothing items thrown about the room, next to the messy bed that's yet to be fixed. "Woah! What the hell happened in here?"
Rosie grabs her phone that was plugged into the wall charging by her bed, then notices Jennie's eyes scanning the entire room, not understanding what has the other girl so puzzled. "What?" Jennie picks up her bra, the strap dangling from her finger, a suggestive smirk on her face. "Don't you dare lie to me! Did you have a little sleepover last night?"
Instantly feeling the heat rise in her cheeks, Rosie marches over snatching the bra from Jennie's hands, picking up her clothes from the night before and roughly throwing them into her laundry basket. "No...what are you talking about?" Jennie's eyes widen, sensing Rosie hiding something. "OH please, since when is your room ever this messy. I'll tell you the answer. NEVER! Spill it!" She makes a subtle glance at the door before closing it and leaning her back against it, biting her lip.
Jennie squints her eyes, seeing the unusual behavior. "OH MY GOD! Did you and Y/N have sex last night...Here? With your family home? OH MY GOD!"
"Announce it any louder why don't you." Rosie launches forward covering the other girls mouth. Jennie burst into laughter. "Wow, so risky. I didn't think you had it in you to do something so, so, so ....this!" Her hands motioning out to the entire room.
Rosie lets her go, sinking down into her bed. "I know!" Jennie leans against the desk. "Couldn't wait for tonight could you?" Chucking a small pillow at the girl, Rosie rolls her eyes, a bashful look on her face. Jennie let's out another burst of laughter seeing her best friend's face turn red.
Jennie extends her arms pulling Rosie off the bed, throwing her arm around her shoulder. "Come on, you can finish telling me later, we gotta get going."
