Toby sat in his room covering his ears, tears fell from his face as tried not to listen to his father screaming at his mother once again. He shakes as he then starts to chew on his own fingernails, then his skin. He tried not to also think of the car accident a week ago.
He grips his hair as he sits up twitching violently causing his bones to crack. He groans and looks around his room. He has a bed, a bookshelf, dresser, a tv, some posters, a night-stand and a lamp. Just a normal bedroom. He didn't really wand much in his room.
He sighs as he continues to chew his nails. He heard his door open and he saw his mother. She gasps at the sight and runs out getting the first-aid kit, sprinting over fast and wrapping up his hands and fingers. She cups his cheeks making him look at her in the eyes, "You are not leaving my sight" she said to him.
Tears fell from his eyes.
She pulled him closer kissing his head as tears also formed into her eyes as well. She cries a bit and wrapped a blanket around her and her son. They both held onto each other as they cried together.

Toby was sitting at the dining room table staring at his food. His mother sat the table with food and sat down and they all started to eat. Toby pokes at his food and stares at it. He looks over to the empty chair beside him where Lyra use to sit and eat. He looks back down.
His mother looks at him, "You alright honey?" She asked.
He stares at his plate, "I'm not r-really hun-hungry.." he said standing. He pushes in his chair.
"Oh um, ok honey. I'll be up to tuck you in shortly" she said frowning, worried for her son.
Toby walks out of the room and up the stairs into his bedroom. He closes the door and walks over to his window looking out. He touches his head as he groans. He heard static in his ears and he covers them clenching his eyes shut. After a while he opens them after it stops. He shakes his head and sits on his bed laying down.
He closes his eyes for a bit, he heard his door open but he kept his eyes shut. His mother, sat next to him and rubbed his back softly, "I know things are hard right now but it'll get better, i promise" she said kissing his head.
Toby just laid there not saying a word. She sighs softly and covers him up, "Goodnight sweetie, I love you" She said. She stands and walks out turning out the light and shutting the door.
"I love you too..." Toby mumbled.
