Chapter 3: A surprise?

-Gus's POV-

I woke up to a call from Willow, I quickly got my new tech glasses and put them on and picked up the call. "What's up willow?" I asked with a tired but happy tone "gus get up and get ready for a surprise!" a surprise? I got out of bed and over to my closest digging through my clothes, "what kind of surprise is it willow?" I can hear some water being poured on her side so I believe she's watering some plants. "I'm not telling you gus but you better hurry, i'm coming over there to pick up your ass" I chuckled to her sentence "alright but give me 10 minutes i have to get ready and program my new robot glove" I poked my head out from my closet looking at my glove, "ok see you later gus!" willow said hanging up.

 I quickly put on a T-shirt and my usually black pants, "crap where's my boots and sweater?" I mumbled to myself looking for my orange boots, but I found my sweater instead of my boots. Maybe they're outside my room I turned around to look at my new glove and walked to it, "alright maybe we can get this programmed" I said to myself and then got to programming the glove to my liking. When I finished, I put my glove on "this is gonna help me cast my spells faster" then I walked to my door and opened it, I looked to the side of my door to see my boots sitting there so I slipped them on and headed out.

I was sitting outside near a tree when I felt something grab my waist, I looked down and saw a plant grabbing onto me wait, a plant that must mean willows around. The plant then grew larger, my eyes widened. I knew exactly what was about to happen, I struggled to get the plant off but then it threw me in the direction of someone. I was quick to land on my feet but fell over from the fall. "Owie, willow was that necessary?" I asked, rubbing my knee "oh did i hurt you? Sorry about that" i heard her respond with a nervous chuckle, I looked up at her and got up "it's alright, but let's get going i'm really excited for my surprise" willow smiled at me and started walking in a direction. I followed behind her and wondered what the surprise was. It was silent mostly because I was busy in my own little world, Willow broke the silence between the both of us 

"Ok so after we see this surprise we'll be heading to the Boiling city to meet up with the blight siblings" she said, I got more excited to hear that we were going to the Boiling city. I love going there especially at night, the buildings would glow with so many neon colours and the snack bar  was the best place to get the best snacks, "so is this surprise a new robot buddy?" I asked, still wondering what this surprise is, willow only shook her head making me wonder what else could it be? I looked around to notice that we were headed the direction of the owl house and that got me thinking, why was the surprise at the owl house?

The figure of the house was now in full view, willow pulled me out of my little cyber world when she asked "you ready for the surprise?" I nodded, she gave me a warming smile then knocked on the door "who goes there,hoot hoot!" i looked at hooty and gave him a smile, "hey hooty, we're just here for a surprise that willow has told me about" hootys eyes lit up with curiosity "what kind of surprise?" he asked, i only shrugged "i have absolutely no idea what it is really" the door suddenly swung open making me jump a little, i looked up at eda and gave her a nervous smile. "Oh hey there kid" she said patting my head

"So where's the surprise?" Willow asked looking around, "oh up stairs in luz's room" eda pointed up the stairs "thanks!" Willow grabbed my hand and darted up the stairs. We were standing at the door, and I looked back at willow.

She motioned me to open the door, I then carefully grabbed the door knob. At this point my mind was flooding with so many questions. I opened the door, my eyes widened when I saw the girl sitting on the floor playing with a robot arm and my excitement was balanced out with shock. "Luz?" she turned around to look at me and a big smile appeared on her face "I'm alive!" I laughed at her statement "you're alive! And I'm so happy to see you luz!" willow also waved hello. I walked over to luz and sat on the floor next to her and gave her a big hug, "come on willow group hug!" she walked over and joined in, this was the best feeling i've had in forever- well thats a lie but i was glad luz is here now.
