It was nearly time for you to get ready for the dance. You looked at Kid, still fast asleep. You gently patted his shoulder. You whispered.

"Kid...Wake up."

"What?" He whispered. "What's wrong?" He opened his eyes, smiled, and wrapped his arms around my entire head.

You giggled. "Nothing, bubs."

"Bubs?"

"Short for Beezlebub. Sorry..." You blushed.

"Tsk, tsk, tsk." He smiled, shaking his head, "the dance is in a few hours."

"That's why I woke you up so I can say goodbye and get ready and meet you at the dance."

"Nonsense. You don't have to go back home. I thought it'd be easier for you to get ready here. I took the pleasure in getting all you need and brought it back here." He gave you a big smile.

Liz muttered something, "you mean you had the pleasure of asking us to get the stuff-"

"Now then, all your things are in the girls room. You will find that any make up, hair do's, and accessories are all provided by Liz and Patty. They will take care of you. You will find everything you need in their bedroom."

"I thought we were supposed to be wearing costumes."

"But it is a costume. Just go look for yourself. Now off you go!"

You, Liz, and Patty headed upstairs. Your heart began pounding again, nervous to see what kind of dress Kid had picked out for you. When you open the door to the bedroom, your dress was the first thing you see walking in. My starlight dress. (Shown in picture above) You smiled in astonishment. It's beautiful! You thought, picking it up and twirling it around the room.

Kid walked in and showed you his tuxedo that his father bought for him, knowing this would be a special day for the both of you.

"This is what I'll be wearing. I hope you like it. See, we're supposed to be a prince and a princess. The crowns are downstairs by the door and-"

"Yeah, yeah. Now get out." Liz said, pushing Kid back out of the room. "Okay now you aren't allowed back in here until we've all come downstairs."

"Why downstairs?" He asked.

"It's more dramatic that way. I've only seen it in movies."

"Well alright. Take care of her."

You giggled as he was trying to stay in the room. When he finally left, the girls began on your hair and make up and asked you about what happened on the date this morning and how you liked falling asleep in his arms and all that girl talk. I made him laugh and I felt so accomplished. I liked hearing his laugh and seeing him smile. When I fell asleep in his arms I felt so safe. I felt like nothing in the world could ever hurt me.

"Did he have any panic attacks while the two of you were out and about?" Asked Liz.

"Just one." You said, looking back to this morning.

"Where were you guys at?" Liz said.

"The Death Café. I think it was because the baked goods on display were not in the right order and it was not clean. I brought him to a corner booth and I told him to drink my water. And I rubbed his back. And after that he wouldn't let go of the hug I gave him."

"That is so cute!" Patty added.

"I was only coming to what felt natural to me. And making sure he was okay."

"You did the right thing, Y/N."

Two hours flew by and the girls were finally done with you! Your hair was straightened, half up half down. Your make up made your eyes glow. Liz and Patty did their hair and make up what felt like seconds. We all put our dresses on and Liz opened the door.

"Hey, Kid! We're coming downstairs. You better be there watching us!" Liz yelled down the hallway.

Patty walked down the stairwell first. As cute as a button, she winked at Kid and smiled. Patty also had her hair down and curled. She wore a gold dress with glitter at the edges. Liz had her hair in a high, straight pony tail and a skintight red silk dress. They both looked incredible. You finally started walking down the stairs. You quickly spotted Kid. He was speechless, in awe, astonished by how you looked. You blushed, looking back down at the stairs, making sure you don't embarrass yourself and fall.

"Y/N...How..."

"Dark? Lame? Stup-"

"Symmetrical. How radiant." Kid said, his eye began to glow.

You looked at him. You both looked at each other in a deep gaze. His beautiful golden eyes were mesmerizing. I couldn't look away. His white tuxedo made his look so mysterious. He had his hair clipped back and out of his face.

Liz snapped her fingers. "Earth to Y/N. Kid! Come on. We're gonna be late!"

"Yeah! Let's go!" Patty said with a big smile.

Kid grabbed your hand and the four of you headed towards the DWMA to release some stress and dance the night away.
