Chapter 2

Breana's POV

I went through my first four periods and was finally excited since it was now lunch time. I went to where my group usually sits and waited for them to come. I pulled out my phone and started doing random stuff on it so I didn't look like a loser. I looked away from my phone for a second and thought I saw somebody but I guess not. As I kept playing on my phone, I felt like I was being watched. I don't know why but I was getting creeped out so I texted Mia and asked where she was and she said she was still in her class and just got done taking a test. I walked to the class she was at and she walked out. "Hey boo!" I said, happy to see her.

"Hey fam!" she said.

"Do you know where everyone is? I was over by where we usually sit and no one was there."

"Garrett is still in there taking the test," she pointed to the classroom she just can out of. "But I don't know about Emily, Sarah, and Matthew."

"Okie dokie! We can just wait on Garrett then meet the rest over by where we sit." I said. She nodded her head and we just started talking about random things until Garrett finally came out. "Hi Gar-Bear!" I gave him a hug.

"Hey Bre," he smiled. Mia and Garrett are my two bestest friends in the whole wide world. We've all known each other since we were 6 years old. They've been there for me through everything. I love them so much.

Emily, Sarah, and Matthew are my best friends too. I met them freshman year and they are the best people ever.

We walked over to where we sit and everybody was there. We all said hey and they all are their lunches. I don't bring my lunch because im too lazy to make it and I hate the school lunch.

Although I'm good friends with everybody, I'm the "quiet one" in the group. I just don't have a lot to say. I may talk to just one person, but never the whole group. It's weird. That's how it always is though.

The time slipped away from us so we were all late to our fifth period classes. I quickly went to my locker and rushed to class. I must have not been paying attention, because I ran into somebody and dropped all of my things. I picked them up and looked up at him. I am really shy around people I don't know so I hesitated and gave him a small smile and ran to class.

The day was finally over and I got my stuff ready to go home. As I was closing my locker, Matthew ran up to me asking for a dollar so he could buy a soda from the vending machine. "All I have is this five. Take it and get something for you and Emily both." He gave me a big hug and thanked me. Even though they don't like to admit it, Matt and Emily are dating. They're actually a really cute couple. Im glad they're together.

I had to walk home today. Ryder had football practice and I didn't want to stay at school for another hour. It felt nice outside. There was a slight breeze but it felt good. It's too cold to walk to school in the morning. I just wish it was like this all the time. I was lost in thought. I tripped over a small rock. There was nobody around so im glad that nobody saw. I dusted my skirt off and continued walking. While I was walking, I felt like I was being watched again. I looked around me again but nobody was there. I walked at a faster pace and would turn around everytime I heard a noise or a car go by. I finally made it home and saw my dad and my little brother sitting in the living room.

He ran over to me. "Hi NaNa!" he yelled. I laughed and tickled his belly a little bit. He calls me NaNa because when he was a baby he couldn't pronounce "Breana" or "Bre." But I love my little brother so much. He means the world to me. I don't want to lose him. I mean, I love Ryder too but he's a jerk sometimes.

"Guess what Bre? He learned how to spell his name today," my dad said.

"Let me see!" I told my brother.

"Yeah! It's X-A-V-I-E-R!" he said excited.

"Good job Xavier!" I told him. He was such a cute kid.

I went upstairs to work on homework. I got my laptop out and started typing an essay for English. One thing led to another, and by the end of the night I ended up on Tumblr. I looked at the time. It was about 6:30. The time went by fast. I went downstairs to eat dinner then I got in the shower and went to bed. Before I was fully asleep, I heard a very faint beeping noise and saw a small flash. I thought maybe it was my imagination and went on to sleep.
