The park is quiet today.
It's not the time of day when kids come to play, or not for many at least. But even then, the park is not that popular throughout the city to start with, and it's rather cloudy, it could start drizzling at any moment.

Maybe that's why there's some tension in the air, or at least in the park. Maybe it's actually the uncertainty that's in the air, for the future that's moments ahead, or maybe it's for that sudden, startling buzz from the streetlight standing so tall in the park. You could think this scenario sounds unsettling, but how would the weather and a streetlight actually make something this tense? In that case, maybe it's not actually the weather that's causing it, then.

Someone is passing by.
He's walking with a fast pace, head hanging low, as if trying to get away. His hands are in the pockets of his rather short brown coat. His blue jeans are making the fast pacing quite uncomfortable, but he's focusing on the warmth of his black sweater.

The reason for his haste becomes clear.

Not too far from there, he could hear footsteps.
"Hey you! Don't think we didn't notice you turning here!"

Of course.
There are two guys at one of the entrances of the park, the one the coat guy walked in from.

"Do you take us for dimwits?"

Yes, he did.
But he doesn't want to turn around, or cares for that matter, and he just fastens his steps.

"Ha, you're ignoring us on purpose. Don't think we don't know!"

It is not obvious at first, but one of the two guys starts running. It seems like that guy knew how to be swift and silent, so his running only became noticeable when he got much closer to the poor runaway.

And, afraid, noticing the steps, he also starts running.

But it's not enough to outrun the amateur ninja-to-be, and he gets pushed only to fall on the floor. He turns quickly before falling, so he falls on the side, only to look up noticing a flickering streetlight, before turning to the one who pushed him.

The guy looked like a stereotypical  'pretty and popular' guy. The other one who was coming that way definitely fit the jock stereotype though, but regardless, both seemed like people who had nothing better to do and just wanted to fill in the blanks.

'Of course this is happening to me.'

Fortunately he feels no pain, so at least he did not get any scratches, but he worries about his clothes for a moment.

Coat guy though about running, but it would have been useless, considering he wasn't the best runner, or that he would need to get up as well, and that took time.

"Ha, I DARE you to make witty remarks outside of school. No professor will save you. No one is outside today."

'It's not my fault you're an idiot.'
"It's not my fault you're an idiot."

'... Shit.'

Coat guy feels his face become pale. He is dead, he is dead and he knows it.

"Ho ho, you asked for it."

The ninja wannabe starts approaching, the coat guy is paralized, and in fear he closes his eyes, protecting his face with his arms, while crouching like a kid in fear.

But he hears running, a hit, followed by a scream, and a thump. Messy footsteps all around. A few seconds of silence, and the coat guy opes his eyes and takes away his arm from view.

The ninja wannabe is on the floor to the right, next to a bench, holding his face, the other guy seems surprised, even scared, and in front of the coat guy is a girl.
