Hello! It's your friendly neighborhood Onion! Sorry for posting irregularly, I'm still trying to find a posting time in between school, and other activities I do. I would like to mention that as of right now we are number 119 out of 1000+ stories for the equality ranking, which is amazing. Even though I have about 34reads at the moment, I'm glad that the overall message of the story getting out there.
Anyway! In this part I will just be posting small character bios of all of Seien's main characters. Which is mostly just the volleyball team, (The people are who actually play on the court) the coach, and Manager! You don't have to read this chapter, but if you wanna know the characters a bit more I recommend that you do.
Best wishes -OnionIwade Kaishi is known as the leader of the Seien girls volleyball team. (Number 5) She is a second year and is part of advanced classes. When it comes to anything outside of school and volleyball she is completely clueless. Around school she wears her glasses but anywhere else you'll see her without them. Her position is the Ace. Her height is 5'8, and her birthday is May 28th, 2004. Her basic appearance is curly brown hair that sort of stops at the middle of her neck. She has hazel/almost amber eyes with freckles on her face, and caramel colored skin. Her right eyebrow is shaved with a small mole right above it. Her expression is mostly tired from studying late and gaming with her online friend Kenma, who she has never met before. At times she could be quite the jokester. Outside of school she is a skateboarder. She likes to collect old jazz/blues records and frame them on her bedroom wall or play them on her old vintage record player. The reason why she moved to Seien was because of kids (mostly boys) making fun of her nationality/ skin color. She believes no matter where she came from or what the color of her skin is she can be better than anyone who comes her way. Yet still sometimes she has self doubt.
Miyo Kiyomi is surprisingly a wing spiker on the team! (Number 2) She is the smartest out of the whole team, which she just loves bragging about. She is a second year student with a lot of passion. Her height is about 5'2 but that never stops her from reaching the top. Her birthday is May 25th, 2004. Like Hinata, she has incredible jumping skills. Her spikes are crazy and sometimes unpredictable at times due to her quick thinking and strategy. She has long blonde hair with ocean blue eyes, her skin is slightly tanned. Kiyomi keeps Kaishi together, and is also the assistant captain. Making sure she doesn't overwork herself by studying too much for forgetting important events. Other than helping Kaishi outside of school she volunteers at local food banks, and animal shelters. She even teaches some kids on her block some volleyball techniques! Kiyomi is even the second year class president. She hopes that helping out and spreading awareness will get her closer to her dream of becoming a doctor. The reason she goes to Seien is because of her strict parents. This wasn't really a choice for her. Her grades slipped once and her parents sent her here, even her boyfriend at the time dumped her.
Aiko Tsubasa is the volleyball teams setter! (Number 1) She is a first year at Seien. Tsubasa usually keeps most things to herself, not being able to trust everyone easily. When she usually has a problem she goes to Kaishi for help. Tsubasa isn't that well in anything work/school related such as studying. So after school she is often at Kaishi's house asking her to help her study. After a month or so of being on the volleyball team she started to warm up to all of them! Tsubasa is about 5'6. Her birthday is October 30th, 2005. After school Tsubasa sometimes goes skateboarding with Kaishi. When she is not doing that she likes sketching areas in her local park or watching the stars on her roof. The reason why she goes to Seien is actually a sensitive topic for her. Her parents never treated he right and eventually she had to move to a foster home with her older brothers. During middle school Kaishi went to the same school as her. Before she left for Seien she said that she'll be waiting for her back on the volleyball team. Tsubasa had never really took volleyball seriously at the time, but hearing that gave her hope. Once she became a freshman she immediately joined the volleyball team to see her inspiration, and she was welcomed with warm arms.
Sakimoto Yoshi is Seien's middle blocker! (Number 8) She is a third year. Although she has been in highschool for a while, lets just say she isn't the most sharp crayon in the box. She has a somewhat bubbly personality, yet she has her stubborn moments. Most of the time she is sleeping in class or caught looking out the window lost in her own thoughts. Despite being the oldest member of the team she used to be quite the trouble maker. Her birthday is April 21st, 2003. After school she goes to work at her local mall. When she isn't working she is practices her graffiti art on canvases she buys with her leftover money. The reason she went to Seien wasn't her choice. During the first two years of highschool she attended a public school where she constantly got into fights. She even did graffiti illegally on walls of local covenant stores. One day she was hiding out doing graffiti and a young girl with curly brown hair skated up behind her. She kept on visiting her spot a few times every week, trying to get her to change her ways a focus them in a different way. They started playing volleyball together after school and Yoshi began to feel less angry. She put all her emotions into playing volleyball, and it made her happy. One day the girl stopped visiting, yet she still change. Even though she showed improvement her parents still moved her to Seien her 3rd year. Remembering the girl she decided to join the volleyball team. Only to meet the girl again, Kaishi, as the team captain.
Itsumo Hana and Itsumo Kana are twins! Hana is the team's Libero! (Number 11). Kana is the team's Decoy/defense! (Number 10). They are Third years. Hana and Kana where inseparable at birth. They do almost everything together! They like to play pranks on all the team members, even the coach, though it can be risky at times. At a young age they started to play volleyball with each other. They got teased and bullied, even outcasted from other groups in school since they where "not unique". They never let what they said bother them. In fact it brought them even closer together as sisters. There birthday is December 20th, 2003. Despite being able to be captain Kana decided to let Kaishi take the position, feeling like she was more capable than her. After school they like to do fun activities together like rock climbing or having movie marathons. The reason they went to Seien was because their mother felt like if they went to an all girls school they would be accepted as individuals.
Park Mochi is the team's manager. She is also a Thrid year. Mochi can be very serious about things and she like to keep the girls focused. Outside of practice she makes posters for the team and helps schedule practice games. Alot of things have been on her mind this year, one of the things being finding a new manger for next year. It puts her in an emotional situation. Even though she will be leaving next year along with a few others she knows that the team will be in good hands. Her birthday is on June 16th, 2003. The reason why she goes to Seien is pretty simple. She just wanted a nice and calm place for herself.
Hiro Yuna is the teams coach! She is currently 27 years old and a newly wed. She has been coaching the team for a few years now and she has really gotten attached to the girls. Despite being the adult she still has her childish side, but then her intense scary side. She sometimes gets in little 'disagreements' with the other coaches in which team is better. When it comes to her strategies she tries to make it so the team's movements and play are unpredictable. So she like having lots of trap cards in her arsenal.
