Starlight scattered on the night sky and scintillated down Narnia as their feet led them back to Cair Paravel. Some trudged with exhausted smiles, some happily skipped around by the thought of the triumph they gained.
Edmund squeezed her shoulders lightly and rubbed them as if to tell her she was finally safe.
She looked up to him and said, Where would he came back?
Edmund noticed the longing on her voice. He recalled the previous events after Lucy healed him with the healing cordial.
The dappled sunlight lightened as the afternoon faded into noon. Dried blood was caked on his hair and brown patches stained his skin. But the pain had only been a memory.
A deep, resonant roar echoed to the battleground and made everyone halt. Edmund recognized at once that the help came.
The Great Lion leaped across the battleground, wounding his way to the White Witch.
The Witch heard the heavy padding of paws behind her and she was thrown away from Y/N in mere seconds.
The world had gone hazy from Edmunds eyes but he knew that the war ceased. The Witchs army dissolved into snow that soon became lumps on the ground.
Edmund distinguished the figure sprawled on the uneven snow from afar and his heart leaped on his throat.
He darted across the battleground, kneeled, and, rested her head on his lap.
His voice slurred and he could only blabber for Lucys help. His youngest sister attended to their aid, her hands quite trembling as she clutched the healing cordial. After this, Lucy tapped Edmunds shoulder lightly and dash away to help the rest of the wounded creatures.
Edmund could only stroke her hair and endure every agonizing second where he could barely feel her heartbeat.
And from behind him, Aslan silently passed by, his paws leading him to the line of trees of the woods.
Aslan, Edmund called.
The Great Lion turned to Edmund and assured him that hell come back in time. And he went away, undisturbed.
Edmunds heart swelled with relief and delight as she stirred from his arms. A feeble smile crept across their faces. The dark sky held stars once again and the White Witch was defeated. Nothing could be better.
Soon enough, his hands were still on her shoulders as they amble through. Youll see him too.
But he still deeply wondered what Aslan said before he left: The help will come to those who called.

Cheers floated across the ballroom, each creature has a goblet in hand, toasting for the triumph a week ago.
Y/N sat beside Edmund on the long table, both hands on her lap. She could overlook the creatures and the two Beavers from where she sat. They were skipping around on each foot in almost a dance. The fauns were tapping their hooves in an exuberant tone.
The table was consist of kings and queens who sympathized with the war against the White Witch. Peter, after several excruciating weeks fighting the White Witch, appeared more light-hearted than hes ever been since Y/N met him. And so as his siblings.
Ive been interested in the Western Woods quite a while, Your Majesties, one of the royal guests said. He was a muscular man that was about two times older than Peter, with shiny brown eyes that looked affable in any aspect. Ive heard stories about them.
