IT WAS MONDAY NOW, and after i went shopping with joey i had to go home. Her mom was pissed at her self isolation, and took her guest privileges away which was alright with me considering the fact that I had to help my mom volunteer once again.
I walk in the school building, my hands intertwined with Gabi's who was looking around for a certain someone. I still haven't figured out who she was texting that day, nor have i figured out everything that happened with Joey.
"Im gonna go look for Meera" She says before walking away, she turned and blew a kiss making me wave.
I begin to walk down the hall, hearing snickering in the process. I notice what they're laughing at making a wave of sympathy breeze through me before i grew annoyed.
"Girl why the fuck is you so loud, shut up" I said to a random girl that stood and childishly laughed loudly.
I feel somebody bump my hip, making me practically fall over. I look to see Dom standing next to me, the happiest ive seen her in a while.
"Who poured sugar in your cheerios?" I say making her smack her lips.
"You should know who" She said before turning away from me making me smile.
"Fill me inn" I say before spotting Joey, It seems that she already noticed me. I put up a finger to indicate that ill be over to her in a second.
"A date. With John Ellis" She said before we squealed.
"Not you going on dates and shitt" I said.
"Girl it was magical" She said before dazing off as if she was remembering what happened. I looked at her, happy that she found a form of happiness in her stressful life.
"Im soo happy for you, But if im not a bridesmaid then we gone have some problems" I said while pointing at her.
"I am not finna play with you, Imma call you later with details cause my class not anywhere close to this hall" She said before practically running down the hall.
"Look at you risking your attendance for me" I said just to receive a middle finger in response.
I look towards Joey and make my way towards her, seeing her eating a donut.
"Honestly, that shit look nasty" I said while looking at it.
"Its lemon poppy-glazed, dont hate on it" George said while trying to shush me making me hold my chest with offense.
"Not the pervert tryna shut me up" I said as we stopped at Joeys locker. I laugh as she spit the donut out. I bet it tasted like it looked too.
I wrap my arms around luke and smile up at him. I havent talked to him since the say before they went to the movies and i hate being out of the loop. Joey still hasn't told me anything, and i was planning on asking her a few questions today but im scared that its too early.
He places a kiss on my forehead and i let go of him, It was then when i noticed the discomfort of Joey.
"Can yall back up off of her?" I ask.
"Joey doesnt have a problem" George said making me walk up on him.
"Yo, calm down" Luke said before sticking his crutch out so that i wouldnt get any closer to George.
I looked Luke up and down before kicking his crutch making him fall.
"Stand up" I said annoyed before walking over him.
"Did you finish Gatsby?" Tim said to joey, ignoring the scene that took place. George went to help Luke up, so i stuck my leg out and tripped him.
"Dude what is with you today" George said. I shrugged in response, i honestly was just bored.
"I cant get through it. Can you give me some insights?" I hear Tim say as i zone into the conversation.
"On the whole fucking book?" Joey said turning around. I continued watching body language as they spoke, something was off.
"No, just like the end. Maybe we can like, FaceTime tonight or... " Tim said desperate, I rolled my eyes.
"Wait. Yo, bro, stop for a second. Jo, for real um.." Luke said before looking in my direction as to see if i was listening. I pretend to scroll through instagram, listening to his voice as he talk. "Look... I really wanna ask you about...something really important," He paused before continuing. "Should i change my haircut to this or does it look too 90s".
George busted out laughing making me mug him. This confirmed that something happened at that movie theater when i wasn't there, I was going to wait until after school to ask Jo about it though.
I grab her arm and pull her away from the group who seemed to not understand the concept of personal space.
NOT LONG LATER, we sat around the room conversing. I specifically ignored them and watched was they played never have i ever.
After figuring out that something definitely happened at the movies, ive been uncomfortable but i didnt want to leave Jo alone with anybody who is suspicious.
"okay, Never have i ever had an orgy with my friends" Anna said making me look at her confused. I haven't heard anything about it lately.
Luke snickered and the tension in the room increased.
"Im so confused" I say, receiving puzzled looks. I look at luke, based on his laugh he definitely knew something. "Hellooo, is anyone gone fill me in"
"I think its best if we don't" Anna says giggling, I look towards Jo who looked uncomfortable once again.
"Thats fucked up"
"What?" Anna says innocently.
"Anna I love you, but im so close to cussing you out" I said as she practically pressured Joey to take the blue candy.
"Jo I think we gotta—" I start making up an excuse to get her out this situation. She cuts me off though,
"What?" Joey says as as Anna begins throwing candies at her. She finally hands her a blue candy, to which she eats.
She looks at me for a second, then back towards Anna before scoffing.
"Why am i the only one who doesnt know whats going on"
They childishly burst out laughing, except Tim who looked mad and Joey who looked dazed.
"I got to get to class," I scoff then walk out.
