Appreciated | Kaeya X OC [DISCOUNTINUED]

Kei and Kaeya stood there speechless, their surrounding seemed to have been slowed down. The burning poll which used to hold up the roof of the tavern slowly crashed onto the ground creating a loud thud! They were frozen in time until they heard something or rather someone yelling from inside the fire. Kei recognized the voice almost immediately, it was her best friend. From inside the burning fire, Jinn whose leg was stuck under a fallen cabinet, struggled to get out of the burning tavern reached out for her friend. Kei rushed forward trying to grab her friend but was she didn't reach her in time. A poll had fallen from the side, it crushed Jinn's body only sparing the arm that was reached out towards Kei.

The arm fell to the ground and rolled in Kei's direction. Kei fell to her knees, she stared at the spot where Jinn used to be before she was crushed. She slowly picked up her friend's decapitated arm, tears streamed out of her eyes like mini waterfalls. Each tear represented a memory of the times they've spent together. She remembered the time when she first met Jinn in Liyue, the girl was hanging upside down from a balcony, swaying back and forth screaming her lungs out. When Tay told Kei the best cryptologist lived in Liyue, she did not expect them to be someone hanging upside down from a balcony. It turns out the girl hanging was Tay's sister, the cryptologist they were looking for... Kei smiled through her tears as all the memories they've shared flooded back into her mind. Quietly laughing at all the stupid things they've done together, Jinn, her and Tay. She's already lost Tay after she left the knights, losing Jinn as well shattered everything she had left.

It's been four days since the incident, Kei has started sulking yet again. Andrea and Maya visit from time to time after stalking Kei home on the day of the incident. They'd try to cheer Kei up, sometime they even drag Aether or Kaeya along. But no matter what they do, it wasn't the same without that plunger lover running around messing up the place. 

"Kei!!! Look!! WE TURNED KAEYA INTO MAID-KAEYA!!" Andrea exclaimed laughing her ass off pointing at Kaeya who had a 'why did I agree to this' face. But Kei only nodded, not even sparring Kaeya a glance at his ridiculous get up. White dress, black apron, and all of that. The mood in the room felt heavy again, nothing they did work. They even tried re-enacting the day Jinn attacked Kaeya but no reaction. Eventually, they got kicked out by Kei wanting to be alone for the rest of the day.

"Geez, how'd Jinn do it?" Aether scratched his head, walking away from the apartment with the others "I mean we tried like 100 things!!"

"It's been 4 years since we've seen Kei, she's changed so much." Kaeya sighed "I guess the only person that would understand Kei now would be Jinn. You guys were so lucky that day though, getting dragged off by Aether to get some uh... whatever toast it was."

"You don't say! If it weren't for my appetite we'd be dead too!" Aether smiled "I do regret not being able to convince Jinn to come with us though..."

"Come on, enough with the sulking. Let's just go over to Diluc. He should be done looking at that arm by now, I mean it has been four days." Maya said with her casually stoic face

"Oh yeah! He was doing that!" Andrea beamed. When they arrived they saw the bar still under construction, still, they spotted Diluc standing there reading a piece of paper. Aether and Andrea decided to jump him, but Andrea got held back by Maya and Aether... let's just say he'll never jump Diluc again after that. 

"What's that you got there?" Kaeya leaned over to look at the paper in Diluc's hand

"I found it in Jinn's hand when I examined her arm," Diluc said before having the paper snatched out of his hands by Maya

"One two three four, deciphering clues is a hassling chore. Magenta teal jade lapis, but sometimes people do it just for status." Maya read out loud, "What?!?"

"It's a riddle, I've been trying to solve it for 3 days. Still nothing." Diluc took the paper back from Maya

"Jinn would've been able to solve it in 10 minutes."

"HOLY FUCKKKKK!" Aether and Andrea screamed in unison "KEI!"

"Hey..." Kei said

"What are you doing out here lovely Kei?" Kaeya wrapped an arm around Kei, shocked that Kei didn't show any reaction but he kept on a straight face

"I heard you guys talking about Jinn..." Kei started but was interrupted by Diluc handing her the piece of paper

"You said Jinn can decode stuff right? You've lived with her for years, you must've learned something from her."

Kei took the paper into her hand, "I think her vision was Pyro, try burning it."

"That explains why the letter didn't burn in the fire but still that's ridiculous! What would burning it do? This paper is probably the reason she died

"Let's just try it." Diluc took the paper and set it on fire using his vision, out of the ashes of the paper, the smoke started to write out the riddle but it had been deciphered

"Incredible..." Aether gasped

"As expected from Tay's sister!" Kaeya laughed

"Who is this Tay you guys keep talking off?!" Aether asked

Staring down at Mondstadt, a cloaked figure laughed "I can't believe you tricked them so easily!" 

"It wasn't hard to fake a death. It was hard to sneak that letter in there though." Another figure who stood next to the cloaked figure smiled

"Well, you did it didn't you ----." The cloaked figure whipped their cloaked around and walked into a purple portal

The other figure followed the cloaked figure into the portal. They both emerged in a huge black dome, completely covered in vines. In the center there laid five altar, each with a word engraved on it. They starred at the altar for a minute before the blonde figure broke the silence "Our agreement still stands right? Tay." 

"Of course, I'm not one to go back on my word sis."
