Over the next few months we prepared Johns house to sold. We were also learning and practicing reading, writing, and speaking Japanese on top of school stuff. We could use our quirks a lot, so we decided to try to strengthen our body's, key word TRY. We are just 12 year old kids so going to the gym was kinda hard unless we went with our parents and they didn't go much.
So the only exercise we were really getting was in school during gym. The good thing is is that is was during spring, so we had spring break to go outside.
(Side note: I don't actually know what it takes to move to different countries, especially if you have a house and how you move belongings to different countries, so sorry if some things I right down aren't exactly accurate.)
When the day came to move it was a lot harder than we thought. We were leaving the place we grew up in, were we had so many memories. But we were also happy. New country, new people, new hero's, ne- *breaks down*
"Ben come on dude we have to keep telling them."
"I know but, are you really not crying"
"(Crying) u-um no I'm n-n-NOT" *also breaks down*
*Crying intensifies*
20 minutes later
" you ok?"
"Ya I'm, I'm ok just*sniff* sad"
"Ok we can continue now?"
"Yup sounds good."
New school. So in that morning we left at 6 at night. So we could have the whole day to prepare our house to be sold. And we had sent what belongings we can to the new house in japan.( Again I don't know exactly how it works but I'm writing what seems logical to me.)
So we left for the airport, house sold cleaned, we just slept in a hotel before we left. It was going to take a 16 our flight to get from Minneapolis to Tokyo. So what any big brain would do, I downloaded some movies on my chrome book.
(Geek warning) ok so I had downloaded: all 4 JP( not including jp3), both "Journey" movies, SAO ordinal scale(DON'T YOU DARE JUDGE), and a few episodes of M*A*S*H.
Got to airport
Got on plane
30 mins in:
"Ok so what do you wanna watch first?" I asked
"Um, journey sounds good." John replied
"Ok sound good"
3hrs in:
"Do you guys need a drink?" The flight attendant asked.
"Oh-uh" I turned to John who shook his head
"Nope, were good" I said
"Ok" she then walked away.
7hrs in
"Hey Ben?"
"Ya?" I asked turning to him
"D-Do you think I'm a failure?"
My eyes widened at here him say this. John and I are practically brothers, and I pained me to here him say that.
"Wha-, why would you ask tha-" I then see that he started to cry.
I then remembered something and grabbed my backpack. I took out our necklaces,put mine on and gave him his.
"(Sniff) what?"
"Put it on" I said softly.
He put it on and I put mine next to his and they connected to form a dragon yin and yang.
"Listen, you a like a brother to me. I could never see you as a failure, all I can see you as, is the best friend I could ever ask for."
His eyes started to water more and he hugged me. I rubbed his shoulders, and kissed his head. "Love you bro."
"(Sniff) love you too."
I then grabbed a blanket and then we went to sleep.
15hrs in:
"Ben. Ben. BEN." I woke up to my dad shaking my shoulder. I looked up had him, my eyes lids feeling like they weight a ton.
"(Yawning) morning"
"Good morning. Hey we got an hour to go ok?" He said
"Oh- ok" I said about to fall back to sleep.
"Oh and Ben." He said turning back a round.
"Ya dad."
I heard what you and John said last night, and I'm glad that you said that. You and him have a really good connection as friends, and brothers. So what ever you do, don't lose that. You and him were bound to be together."
"Thanks dad. I will."
I looked over to John who was still asleep. I got up and went to the restroom, and smiled at the life I have and the amazing brother I could have ever wanted.
30 minutes later:
I was watching the lost world, on my chrome book. When I could feel movements my right. I look over to see John, just waking up.
"Good morning". I took off my head phones and paused the movie.
"Morning, Ben" he said rubbing his eyes.
He yawned and said" two things what time is it? And how long until we land?"
"It is 7:45 and we land in about half an hour." I say looking at my wrist with no watch.
"Oh, ok. Oh and Ben?" I turned to him and he said " thanks you the greatest friend I could have asked for too.
I smiled and we fist bumped and gave each other a hug.
We landed and got our bags. We then headed to the train station to got to Musutafu, which is where the new house is. We get to the house and check it out. It's a little bit bigger and feels more spacious than our old house but it's nice. We checked out our room and had a talk with our parents about school. They said that the new school year starts in a two weeks and so we'll spend that time getting the house all nice and practicing Japanese.
