TRIVIA:

>> Diu Caritate is a Latin word for 'long love' or 'long time love'.

>> The title was supposed to be 'Veni Vidi Amavi', or 'We came, We saw, We loved'. However, there is another story planned for that (unfortunately it isn't bnha). Diu Caritate was much more fitting as it is described in the story that both of them came from very far time periods and has issues with people. All it takes for them to find happiness in love is to connect to each other through fate, reincarnation, trust and patience.

>> The love interest was originally supposed to be Katsuki Bakugo, but his character is very complex and isn't really constant. However, the 'Reader x Bakugo' pairing would've ended up as a wild, passionate romance. So why not create a 'Izuku Midoriya x Reader' story for those people who appreciate a soft yet tough, bittersweet love story with an equally thrilling and challenging character as a villain?

>> I wanted the reader to have no quirk at that time since it was the late Heian Period and all. But then I remembered the glowing baby in China and speculated that the first person with a quirk was born centuries ago. So yeah, I made the MC have a kinda useless-not-so-useless quirk so she could learn more about sword fighting and use her quirk to intimidate her enemies. Basically, a win-win situation in the skills department.

>> I had also originally wanted to have the main character as an ice-cold empress. However, a cold ice queen is a very used and overrated character that some people might consider them as 'Mary Sue's' unless the person they're paired with is the opposite of their personality, or the situation they're placed in gives them a very specified problem to which afterwards they cannot be considered as perfect people. There are no perfect people, and if there are- would be absurd, and also very boring.

>> The original time period Reader-Chan belongs to was supposed to be the Edo Period, but it wouldn't exactly line up with the reign of the Fujiwaras.

>> Mominigaoka isn't a real place. I actually made it up, hehe.

>> Remember the insult Reader-chan said to Bakugo when they first met? It's actually from the Harry Potter and The Goblet of Fire movie where Professor McGonagall called the Weasely twins 'a pair of bumbling, babbling band of baboons'. I kinda cracked up at that so yeah, I added the baboon-thingy but with a barbarian instead.

> > If you re-read chapter three, I actually changed the line "their supermove training was coming up, and he still hadn't decided a move for his quirk yet," to "their joint training with Class B was coming up, and he still have to decide the plans for his group," because it wouldn't exactly tie up with the events that would follow Bakugo and Midoriya's talk and Y/N's kidnapping. If this was placed into an anime, then this story would take place in season five of BNHA.

> > If you Harry Potter lovers out there have noticed this, Clockwork's quirk concept was based on Hermione Granger's Time Turner in the third book of the Harry Potter series: you can forward or reverse time, but you shouldn't risk being seen by anyone who would know you. Hence why Clockwork has to disguise herself as not to trigger a time changing event.

> > If you had noticed, then most of the author's notes and the reccomended songs are all in lowercase form is because i love aesthetic and cute stuff like that but i ain't a fuckin e-girl just because i like aesthetic and anime and kdramas okay like watdafak man *annoying chittering intensifies*

> > Fun fact: If you noticed my (thea) published section, most of the book covers have a specific theme. Altgough I keep chnaging my covers to match my theme, they're pretty easy to spot since they stand out without having any other embellishments and crap like that.

> > Go check out my co-author quackquackboiz on Quotev for other great stories!

> > The story was originally supposed to be fifeteen chapters only (excluding the trivia). But the rescue arc happened, so I had to split it in two to execute the action scenes equally.

>> The plot is inspired by the K-Drama 'Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo'. The story is very thrilling, beautiful and sad at the same time. I recommend you watch it if you're up for it.

QUIRK LIST:

FILE1:

NAME: Y/N OF THE FUJIWARA EMPIRE

STATUS: PRINCESS OF THE FUJIWARA EMPIRE, 'IRON PRINCESS' OF MUSUTAFU KINGDOM

QUIRK: AURA

-has the ability to release a wave of 'feeling' around others or to an enemy. She can release waves of 'Tension', 'Aggresiveness', 'Calm', 'Fear', 'Comfort', and 'Dominance' depending on how a situation she is in will play.

-her drawbacks include a headache and heartburn, as it is feeling she is channeling into her quirk. If she happens to overuse her quirk, she'll experience a splitting migraine that'll leave her disoriented for a couple of minutes

FUN FACT: Since Y/N only uses 'Aura' to solve verbal or emotional problems, she renders her quirk useless in physical battle. Hence why she prefers her swordfighting and battle skills than using her quirk.

FILE2:

NAME: TAO MIN DAE

STATUS: PRINCE OF THE TAO EMPIRE OF KOREA, B-CLASS VILLAIN

QUIRK: TIME TWEAK

- enables him to tweak his way into other time frames, that is if he's able to gain a specific object belonging to a certain timeline
-history can be changed if he ever does try to do something that will cause a major event in time
-red energy will seep out of his fingertips if he uses his quirk

-drawbacks include fatigue. if overused, he'll go into a long coma with a minimum of two to twelve days depending on how he overused his quirk.

-to tweak into a time frame, he has to acquire a very specific object. there's one and only one for every major year or event in that year that it might even take him years to find.

FUN FACT: I translated his name in Korean and got myself wondering why I even chose his first name. His name means Mindae- school in Korean, if put together.

FILE3:

NAME: MITOKA, SAYAKA "CLOCKWORK"

STATUS: 124TH PRO HERO

QUIRK: TIME TRAVEL

-can teleport into the past, present or future, depending on the time frame a person wants to be or where a person is from.

-can bring multiple people with her- making her quirk perfect for rescuing people

-but mostly known for going back or going forward in time to fix time lapses in history, or create a major event to help restore history in its proper place

-drawbacks include migraines and dizziness.

-can forward or reverse time, but can't risk being seen by anyone who would know her. hence why clockwork has to disguise herself as not to trigger a time changing event.

FUN FACT: Even though she has a lot of work to do, she still procrastinates and ends up reversing time a lot of times to submit her reports and deadlines- basically us (authors) if we become heroes.

END NOTE:
