(Chapter 8)(not who you thought)

(Daliana's p.o.v)

I yawned and rolled over, I felt the bed for my husband. I felt skin with a lot of hair. this was not my husband!!! I was scared, I emediatly opened my eyes to see the man that had stolen me and my baby girl. He opened his eyes, perfect timing! I struck his face with my hand. Apparently hard enough to knock him off the bed and into the hard unforgiving floor. He gasped and yelped once he hit the floor. I looked around, Brantanya!!! She was gone!!
"What the hell have you done with my daughter you bastard!!" I growled at the man who was probably in his early 60's. He stood up. He gave me a glare . "She's in the basket". He says. I rushed to the basket that sat in the floor next to the window. She was swaddled in soft blankets and laying on a pillow. On her stomach, she was positioned correctly for sleep it was like he knew what to do with a baby.
" you fell asleep while feeding her she nearly tumbled right off the bed, I swaddled her and put her down for bed." He says. I picked my daughter, she was perfectly fine . "Why are you being so nice?" I asked. "Because I had a wife and a baby girl once too, when they were taken from me, I lost it, swore I'd kill the men who killed them!" "That's why I haven't hurt the two of you ". "Your the bait, if I kill you it'll only make things worse." He says. "Who killed them?" I asked. "Brantley, and his men". He says. "They broke into my house, killed my wife, my daughter escaped but then news soon got around that Brantley had stolen her and killed her." He says. "Oh my god, your my father?" I say tears coming to my eyes as the older man looked at me quite confused. " Daliana?" He asks. I nodded. Tears streamed down his face, we hugged, and I cried. I thought I'd never see my father again. " I don't believe it" he says. "Oh and I have a granddaughter, my you look just like your mama". Dad says holding Brantanya close.
Brantley burst in the room, "put my daughter down, and we'll settle this." Brantley said.
