As I lay in bed, staring at the ceiling, I hear my alarm clock go off. I look over at it. 7:00am, it's time to get ready for school.
When I step outside a cold blow of air blows past my face. This town used to be full of live and happiness. But the last 4 years have been nothing but dread. No one wants to be here. After everything that has happened, no ones the same.
I remember parties, staying up all night, enjoying going to school and overall being a happy community. Never in a million years would I have thought something like this would've happened. It all started right after the 2016 election. When president Leo Brimwall was elected.
Nothing has been normal ever since. People have disappeared and power outages are a weekly thing. The weird thing is, is that no one is even talking about it. It's like it never happened. But it did. How can people just accept it.
Off in the distance I see the school bus. It's not like your normal yellow school bus, it's grey with windows on the side, more like a van than a bus. Since what happened our school isn't as full anymore. There's no need for twenty buses. We have two.
