“hide & seek”

After mathilde took Ethan to  her mansion, they become so close and hangout together, this very drilling and melancholic mansion , finally gave life and color by ethan and mathilde themselves,

"like how a lonely flower meet its butterfly"

ethan always wrote her a letter even though they lived in the same place , mathilde who is very busy at work and hot-headed, was completely changed by Ethan,

Its beautiful , the stars, said ethan as he sat on a garden bench filled with vivid  flowers and butterflies,

next to ethan was mathilde who was also looking at the starry sky, and as she turned her gaze upon ethan she was once again surprise , but with  a blossom of a red lavander, and with his timid look, ethan whisper,

I love you mathilde luv,

Mathide POV

I was looking at the sky, when i looked to ethan  holding a boquet of lavander, i tumble, as i looked into his hazle brown eyes, you surprised me, again,

  I can say I have nothing more to ask, because when he said he loves me, everything became clear, and with my hands into his ,i said,

I love you too, Ethan ...

I hugged him, and he did the same, I could feel the warmth of her sweater, perfect for this cold windy night,

16 years later

After a few years, The mansion is in its calm and radiant atmosphere, you can see the sun rays passes through its window, which gives a nice ambience inside making the huge house really fun to play.

There's nothing new in this typical weather for the housekeepers, except for a child, or a childish kid, maybe, that do nothing else but to create a mischievous deed in the mansion, since then, Mathilde and Ethan always left for some reason, so he does everything he wants,

“Nathan! Nathan! Come out now! It is not time to play.” said his mother, “Your father needs to ask you something.”

“Here I come!” replied by a naughty young man in his most awkward entrance. It's not obvious that he behave that way, because of his dimples and slightly narrow eyes, with it curly brown hair and tanned skin. Nathan looks cunning.

“So Nathan, what gift do you want when we come home?”,
“Nothing, I don't want anything.” he said, while frowning. “You always leave me here alone tho, nothing's new, I'm used to it. Don't bother to buy me gifts anymore.” he added with nonchalance.

“Nathan, you know ...” his mother tried to explain.

“Yes I know, it's all for me. Yes for me, so go ahead and leave. Bye, have a safe trip.” then he walked away.

Mathilde and Ethan stared at each other, waiting for who will speak first. You can see the shock and sadness on their faces because of what their son have said.

“Ms. K ...” Mathilde called,
“Please call Ethan, we'll cook his favorite breakfast”

“Yes madam.”

The child is spoiled and wants to be obeyed at all times. Maybe because his parents are not always there for him.

Nathan, was on the second floor, while hiding and leaning against the wall and slowly peeking into the terris of the second floor, step suddenly stepped on a key.

The boy looked at the old key with its jarring carvings and curiously picked it and said,
“What's this? Oh, a dirty old key.”

When he heard the maid's footsteps, calling his name, he went back leaning to the wall and a sudden beam of light shone. When it finally disappeared, he saw the white door appear. The boy got surprised, causing him to shout, so the maid heard him.

“Nathan, I heard you, come down, your parents are calling you.”

Nathan heard his nanny going up, so he thought of hiding.
“I need to hide, and this door is the only choice I have.” he tried to open the door but it could not be opened, so he tried to enter using the key in case it opened. The boy smiled and carelessly entered the white door, left the key alone in the padlock and shut it closed,

Nathan, where are you ?, while going up the stairs, but as she her last step, she saw , a door, not Nathan, the maid was surprised, but he thought of Nathan, she not see it yet ever since, thats why she could not afford to believe what her  eyes have seen,

He gathered all his strength and held the padlock with the pierced key, she slowly opened it, and she was surprised by what she saw ...

A foggy cossy room, peaceful and clean, with large windows on its most unsual shape, and from the window you can see the huge trees and branches, like a safe haven, a closet and an old beds and lamp, you can hear the birds humming, the noise of the trees being cut down, along with the crackling of the grass, and from the bed, theres Nathan, sleeping peacefully on his most gentle face, this room looked beautiful and clear, as well as the smile on the boy's lips,  intensified by his long eye lashes,

Slowly, the maid approached the bed, sat on it, trying to wake up nathan, but he did not, the maid forced him to wake up repeatedly but it did not wake up,

so she immediately went to call Mathilde and Ethan,

* crying
Madam, Nat..ha...n is in a strange room and has no life, hes not waking up...

Mathilde and Ethan immediately ran into it. They tried to wake the sleeping boy, but he did not wake up. Mathilde ended up crying, she has no idea what to do. Fear and shock crept out her system,  Ethan on the other hand finally noticed the room and called the maid.

"How is there a room here? How did he get in?"

I don't know, i just saw that room, he used a key here, he pointed to the key but it was not in the padlock,

"Miss, call the guard, we will take him to the hospital."

The maid then immediately obeyed.

He calmed Mathilde and picked up her son. As they went down the stairs the room suddenly vanished. Because of worry, no one noticed it.

A few weeks later, after the incident,
they brought Nathan to the hospital. They found out that he was suffering from severe amnesia for some unknown reason.

"There is a hope for his memory to come back, if and only if he would see again the things or someone, maybe, that he encountered before the incident happened. But I doubt it will not be easy. It depends on your son. I'm sorry, this is all I can do." the doctor said and walked out.

Ethan wasn't able to respond and just let the Doctor go. His mind is clouded with everything. He called Mathilde and confessed.

"There is something I have to tell you, listen to me very carefully. he paused for a while and looked sternly in Mathilde's eyes. It's as if he is searching something in her eyes for him to continue.
"R-remember the time when we first met?"

Despite of confusion, Mathilde responded with a nod. And from there, everything that happened few years ago, sinked into her mind.

The family did everything they could to heal their son. They sold the mansion to a company, and eventually they were left with nothing, but each other.

They lived in the Village, Nathan who did not speak for a week continued living in pain when, and felt the most difficult time when his mother and father passed away. Everything happened before his eyes knowing it blamed himself. He nearly surrendered and just end his life because everything he's going through is too much. But something in his mind is telling him to not quit and continue his life.

After a month of suffering, he was adopted by a good friend of his parents, and there he continued living while slowly accepting his fate,
