November 13, 1993
On the day he was fired, Schmidt kept his name tag. He knew he would eventually have use for it.
So on the thirteenth of November, the day he was fired, he returned to the place he used to work and looked around.
He headed up to the prize counter.
"Hey, I'm a new employee. I need to clean the spare suits," he said casually to the teen running the prize counter.
"Okay. The spare suits are in the backstage room, right over there," she said. The name tag did the trick. She fell for it.
He proceeded to the backstage room without responding. There was a sign that said 'employees only.' He looked around. Clear. He pushed the door open and stepped in. It was dark.
There were empty Freddy Fazbear heads, Bonnie the Bunny and Chica the Chicken heads, a naked endoskeleton, and even a completely empty animatronic costume. It was golden yellow. The only usable one.
He took its legs off and put his own into them. Then he put the body on, and the same with the mask and arms. He was dressed in the Fredbear suit from 1941.
He left the backstage room, and was careful not to attract the attention of the prize counter kid.
He turned to stage and saw that the animatronics were singing and dancing. A purple bunny playing a red guitar, a yellow chicken playing a dark black electric keyboard, and a big brown bear singing into a chunky black microphone. He sat and waited for the show to be over.
A few minutes after it was done, kids started running around, talking, eating pizza and drinking fruit punch and soda.
He waited at a table until it was almost closing time. And when it was, there were five kids in a group still talking and playing. Schmidt walked up to them, and interrupted.
In the best goofy western accent he could, he said, "Hey kids, wanna talk to Freddy and the others? Follow me!"
The oldest child, 11 years in age, shook her head no. "Um, no, our parents are waiting for us..." Her eyes veered off in another direction. But the younger fellows, wanted to greet the animatronics.
"Why not stay for a minute?" Mike asked. "It will only be a few. C'mon, kids!" As he said this he turned and stared walking to the stage where the animatronics are. A boy, 8 years old, another boy, 6 years old, and a girl, 4 years old. The three of them started following him, but the eldest, therefore the most intelligent, was hesitant. She only followed so that she could keep an eye on the younglings.
They stepped up on the stage. Mike, still wearing a costume, got up close to the animatronics, and studied them. He decided he wouldn't attack out in the open of the restaurant.
"Hmm.... I think they're asleep. Let's play back here," he said as he motioned them toward the backstage room. The three younglings walked in as he opened the door for them.
The eldest started sweating. The three where already in when she shouted, "Stop!"
Then the kids knew something was up.
"You little punk!" He shouted as he grabbed her by her long hair and threw her in the back room, locking the door when they were all in.He took the suit off. The kids saw he was crying.
"You stupid kids... Got me fired... Because of you...""Please don't hurt us!" The girl interrupted.
"SHUT UP!" Schmidt shouted, right before falling to his knees and sobbing loudly. "You STUPID kids... I wasn't able... To help... Kyra... And... I GOT FIRED!!!" He then got up and punched the eldest girl into the table.
The six year old boy hid under the table where the animatronic masks were, quietly sobbing.
While all of this was happening, the eight year old boy was picking the lock with a nail filer he'd stolen from his mother's purse. When it finally opened, he grabbed the four year old Maggie and ran to the exit. It was locked. So instead, he ran to hide.
He ran to the bathrooms and put Maggie in a stall and on top of a toilet.
"Stay in here. DON'T MOVE. And be quiet," the boy said to Maggie. "They'll come... They'll come to save us," he said. "STAY HERE AND DON'T MAKE A SOUND. DON'T MOVE. I'll be right back." He left the bathroom to check. He poked his head out of the restrooms entrance. He looked left. A long hallway with a red and black checkered carpet. He looked right. A dining area with rows of tables. One specific corner of the dining area was very dark, but he could see two eyes. The eldest sister was hiding in the dark, but he could hear her crying. Then, suddenly, the backstage room to his far right burst open. Schmidt. He held a wrench. "WHERE ARE YOU STUPID PUNKS!" He roared, sounding almost inhuman. "I'M GONNA HURT YOU! COME OUT!"
Felix, the boy, stared trembling. His eyes watered. He went into the bathroom to talk to Maggie.
"Maggie!" He shouted. "Maggie. Don't move a muscle. Don't call for me. Don't make a SOUND. Just hide in here. Steve and Petra will come... They will. Just STAY here... I'll see you... I'll see you soon. That's a promise," he said with a shaky voice. Then he poked his head out again, peered to the right, and saw the man sprinting at him.
So he ran. He had to draw attention away from Maggie. He ran down the checkered carpets and saw an open door at the end of the hall. He ran towards it, but it slammed close when he reached it.
"W...W-why? Did it close?" He said in a low, trembling voice. "WHY NOW!??!?" He shouted, as he leaped up and started banging on the door. "OPEN THE DOOR YOU IDIOT! WHOEVER'S IN THERE, I SWEAR I'LL KILL YOU!" He looked to the right and Mike was almost to him. He lifted the wrench in the air and swung.
The wrench landed and smacked his jaw.
"Son of a..." Felix attempted talking but his words were gargled by his blood. "You... Why did... Why did you... Why..." He attempted again.
But Mike lifted the wrench, swung down and it dug into Felix's scalp.
HIAAAAAAAA AAH AH!
Felix let out a shriek like no other. And that shriek, that scream, lasted a long time. It slowed down as he lost more and more blood, until he was completely quit.Mike turned around, only to see Maggie standing outside of the bathrooms, peering up at a security camera. He observed her for a moment.
She started walking and was now at the end of the hallway, staring blankly at Mike.
He ran down towards her. She did nothing. She just stared down the hall at the corpse of her older cousin Felix. When Mike reached her, it only took on underarm swing to finish her. She was sent sprawling upward and back, then landed on her back, already dead.
Mike walked past her and looked around the dining area. He walked into the back room and immediately saw Arlin hiding under the table.
Mike walked up to the table and stood in front of it, listening to Arlin crying.
"You're gonna cry?" He shouted "YOU'RE CRYING? WELL YOU STUPID KIDS DON'T HAVE ANY SYMPATHY AT ALL! KYRA IS... ARGHHAH!" He beckoned and kicked Arlin's stomach. He then dragged him out and started attacking him with the wrench.
Beat! Splat! The wrench hooked into Arlin's flesh multiple times.
"SUFFER!!" Mike shouted. Then Arlin grabbed the wrench mid-swing, and blood dripped from his hands.
"You... Son of a... I don't care about whoever the heck... Kyra... Is... You... Are... A... murderer." Arlin went on, barely able to speak.
"SHUT UP!" Mike shouted and swung the axe into the side of Arlin's head.
"Murderer? Ha. I'm no killer. I'm an avenger, you little pig."
Mike walked out of the back room and notice sobs coming from the dark. He sprinted closer and then was able to see her tears glistening in the dark. She got down and started crawling. He couldn't see her in the dark. She ran to the camera in the middle of the dark hallway. With checkered carpets. She got up close and peered into the camera.
"Help... Please help... Who's in there?"
Then Mike's masculine hands gripped her face. She started crying quietly. One hand on her chin, on on the top of her head. He twisted. She dropped to the ground.
