The pale man let go of his arm. What had he just done? He'd walked up to the stage in the middle of indoctrination, and attempted to interfere. There were guards behind him with pistols drawn.

"Mike Schmidt, is it?" The pale man asked. "Hey, we had some special guests here for you today!"

This surprised Schmidt. He was prohibited from seeing his family, so his idea of a special guest was exactly that. However, the pale man's idea and Schmidt's idea are two very different things. So the pale man shoved Mike away to the guards and walked to the microphone.

"Sorry ladies and gentlemen, today's indoctrination is canceled."

Then people started cheering.

2 hours later, interrogation room

Schmidt sat in a metal chair, in front of a metal table. After some minutes, the pale man walked in with two guards next to him, and ten men and woman behind them. Some of the woman were crying, and some men had expressions of pure hatred. One gave him a dirty look. The pale man walked up in front of the table and sat. There were two chairs to his right.

"Hello, my name is Randy," the pale man said. Then a crying women and an angry man sat down on the two chairs right of Randy. "These are Felix and Maggie's parents. Remember those kids?"

As he continued talking, the woman stared crying louder.

"Well, Mike? Do you remember their faces? Do you?"
"SHUT UP," Schmidt shouted.
"So you do," the pale man said calmly. "And I'm assuming you also remember that Maggie... Was only four?"
"I SAID SHUT UP!"
"I'm sorry, Alexis, Kyle. You can leave," Randy said to the couple.
They got up, holding hands, and walked out the door.

"Arlin, Jessica. Sit," the pale man ordered the next couple. They sat, but weren't crying at all. The wife looked nervous, on the verge of weeping, while the husband, Arlin, was emotionless.

"Listen here Talk a Tanner, Arlin was just a little kid. What the hell is up with your head?" Arlin spoke in a Southern American accent. Schmidt gave no reply. "Listen to me when I'm talking to you, bastard!"

He tried to reach over the table and punch Schmidt, but the guards grabbed him by the shoulders and carried him away.
"This ain't over, Mike Schmidt!"
"Actually, Mr. Arlin Sherbert, this is the last time you will see Mike'" Randy said as the guards dragged Arlin out of the room. "You can leave now, Mrs. Sherbert."

"Ladies and gentlemen, I'm afraid that's our time," Randy announced to the remaining parents.

"What? No, I need to say something," a man sad.
The guards started escorting people out of the room. Wives were now weeping loudly, and husbands were shouting. When everybody was finally gone, Randy pulled a Revolver from behind his shirt.
