the hospital wing had cold, lumpy beds, and i couldn't sleep in them. instead i laid awake all night, feeling numb inside. i hated the way i had made pansy feel over something so stupid, maybe i was like my father, even though i was sober. the cuts from the glass were painful, but i deserved it.
i was discharged the next morning, and i went straight up to my dorm, and climbed into my soft, cosy bed.
'lucy?' i heard a hoarse voice whisper.
'pans? im so sorry' i whispered back, choking back my tears.
she held my hand and climbed into my bed next to me, and we fell asleep holding each other.
blinding light filtered in through the mesh curtains, i yawned and rolled over.
'shit.'
'wassup pans?'
'class!'
'oh yeah.'
she dragged me out of bed and gave my my uniform, i got dressed and we ran down to potions.
'why are we late?' stated snape in a matter-of-fact tone.
'sorry professor.. we woke up late'
'i will let you off just this once since you spent your weekend in the hospital wing.'
my uncle gave me my potions book and gestured for me to sit next to malfoy. i frowned and sat next to him.
'you ok?' he whispered into my ear, catching his lips on my cheek, butterflies filled my stomach. i ignored them and glared at him.
'since when do you care?' i said my voice filled with hatred. he scoffed and said,
'since you threw yourself on the floor bringing a mirror with you, just for my attention.'
i scoffed this time, 'you wish' i said, grabbing my bag and walking out.
'where do you think your going miss prince?'
'i dont feel up to doing class today, uncle'
people had started staring, simply because i had never told anyone snape was my uncle.
'just because you live with me, and you are my niece, does not give you the right to walk out.'
'see you later uncle s', and with that, i left.
the weasley twins were in the year above me, and i had always thought them to be really funny, even if i couldn't show it, me being a slytherin, them gryffindor. as i walked down the corridor, they came towards me, gave each other a knowing glance.
'hey prince!' said one of them,
'hey lucy!' said the other.
'um.. can i help you?' i replied, having never spoke to them.
'yes you can actually' they said in unison, which kind of creeped me out.
'so we're going to put a puking pastille into filch's cough sweet pack.. then he will eat the puking pastille and be sick on snape?' i went over the plan in my head again, i had only agreed to do this to get back at my uncle.
'thats exactly right!' they grinned.
'okok.. ' , i crept into filch's office and opened his desk drawer to find his packet of cough sweets, only to find his birth certificate, claiming he was a squib. i let out a low giggle, planted the puking pastille, closed the drawer and gave fred and george the signal. they ran over to professor snape calling,
'sir! sir! filch needs you asap!'
quickly, and perfectly on time, filch coughed, and then he popped out his 'throat sweet' and, snape got there and bam!
uncle s had puke dripping down him, and filch was getting ready to run.
i held my laughter until i had tears of pure joy rolling down my face, this was the most fun i had had in years. i collapsed on the ground, laughing so hard i could barely breath. i decided i HAD to do this more often.
fred and george walked me to dinner, where i planted a kiss on both of their cheeks, and slid down to sit next to pansy.
