Nicole's POV:
I am now being held captive by Faith for not answering her stupid question. I know you're probably thinking it wasn't a stupid question, but she just wanted to know. Well in your eyes, yes, but in mine it is none of her business I know I dragged her into this but still she didn't have to ask me anything about it, what if I just wanted to be a good person and help find a stranger's dog? Wow, never mind, now I know why.
With tears still in my eyes I told Faith a little nicer to let go of me. When she did she still wanted to know why I was acting like this. I finally caught my breath and got the courage to tell her what was really going on.
"Umm... well... the thing is, er..." I just couldn't get the words out, I didn't even know how to tell her.
"Well go on." Faith said with kind of a harsh tone.
I was just about to tell her when the same dog that was in the picture and the one I saw this morning ran down the street. At the same time I got a call, I looked down at my phone to see who it was. I answered and it was Gabby, who sounded ot of breath.
"The dog that we've been looking for all day is running down the street, I tried to catch her but she took off!" Gabby said all in one breath.
"Um, well, I kinda figured that out when me and Faith saw a dog dash off right in front of us." I said with a little anger in my voice.
"Well where is the dog now? Did you see where it went?" She asked
"It was running in the direction of the neighborhood park and now we are going after it." I was starting to run out of breath from talking and chasing after this dog so I just decided to tell Gabby that I would tell her everything at the park.
"Wait bu-" she was about to say something else but I hung up the phone. My priority wasn't listening to her it was trying to catch that dog.

Faith and I are getting closer to the park, but we have know idea why it was going that way. We got closer and closer to her with every step. Faith got to the park first so I was still running. As I was running Gabby ended up next to me. She was breathing hard and looked like she was gonna pass out.
"Here's the leash, collar, thingy for the dog." Gabby said with a long breath while handing me the leash.
"Thanks, we'll probably need it to keep the dog from running again." I explained with a chuckle at the end.
We were at the entrance of the park and I saw Faith under a big tree holding the dog. Me and Gabby scurried over to her and I handed her the leash. Faith put it on the dog and all I could do was stare at it. I was admiring it as if it were a work of art at a museum. Suddenly I felt the need to cry but I held it back, I didn't want anyone to see or know that I was.
"The address of the person that owns the dog is one the paper." Faith said while still going over the paper. "Guys I'm gonna take the dog to the house, are y'all gonna come with me?" Faith asked already starting to walk away. I didn't answer, I walked over to the closest bench behind me and sat down.
"Faith, I'm gonna see what's going on you can meet us back here." Gabby said at almost a whisper.
"Okay but don't be too nosey and get her mad, and don't leave me." Faith whisper shouted, then she walked off with the dog. Then Gabby came over to me and took a seat next to me. What if she starts asking questions like Faith I won't know what to say without crying. Maybe she won't. Maybe she knows it's not her business and just won't say anything. Even I didn't believe what I was saying, this is Gabrielle Maranda Derulo I'm talking about.
She came and sat next to me and asked the question I always dread answering every time its been asked.
"Nicole are you okay?" Gabby asked giving me a head on stare. What am I suppose to say now.

Gabby's POV:
I sat next to Nicole after Faith gave me that mini lecture, but we all knew that I wasn't going to listen so I don't know why she would waste her breath. Nicole never looked at me once while I sat there she was just looking at the ground below her. I decided to just come out and ask her the one question Faith told me not to ask."Nicole are you okay?" I asked giving her a head on stare. I didn't get an answer from her all she did was nod her head. That didn't convince me though.
"Nicole what's really going on?" I couldn't take it anymore I just had to know. When Nicole looked up her eyes were glossy.
"Do you want the truth?" She asked with a small tear coming from her eye.
"Yes, I want to know what has been going on with you," I pleaded wanting to know.
"My dad," That was all she could say. Tears started to fall from her eyes and then I asked the most stupid question ever.
"Is he alright?" I asked clueless about her dad. Nicole never talked about her dad at all and when ever I went to her house I never saw him. I have only seen a couple pictures of him.
"He's... dead." Nicole's voice cracked a little at the end of her statement. I was completely speechless. I couldn't believe I just asked that.
"Nicole-" I started to apologize but she cut me off.
"It's okay, I never tell anyone about him and the only person that knows is Faith. I never like to talk about it, but she is the only person I opened up to," She started to explain, with a serious face now she was looking at the scenery before us.
"Nicole, you know you can talk to me, please don't keep it inside," I needed her to know that she could talk to me about anything and not be nervous or scared to do so. After my mini speech Nicole started to look at me and explain.
"The real reason I wanted to find that dog is because I know what it feels like to loose something and it doesn't feel good. My dad died when I was just a little girl, I was only, like, four years old when it happened. He was driving home from work, late again because he had a long shift, he was going over a bridge coming from downtown and there was a drunk driver behind him. The driver swerved and hit my dad's truck, the car came again and hit my dad's truck off the bridge. The drunk driver had some injuries but he was okay. My dad's car was crushed under the bridge, along with him. Before he died he gave me a dog named Coco and it looked exactly like the dog we found, Coco ran away and I never found him. It was the last thing my dad ever given me and now it's gone, I don't know what that dog means to the owner but I know how hard it is to loose something you love. Thats why I had to find this dog and thats why I was acting weird." Nicole explained everything to me and I finally understood her actions, she started to cry so immediately I threw my arms around her.
"Nicole I'm so sorry, I didn't know. Thank you for telling me," I finally apologized without her interrupting and I'm glad she opened up to me so she didn't have it bolted up inside. Nicole still had tears in her eyes but she wasn't crying as much.
"Thanks Gabby and I'm glad I did," She wasn't crying anymore but she still had tear stains on her cheeks. We hugged one more time. Faith came back and looked at us with clear confusion written on her face. Nicole just laughed and said,
"At least I already told you the first part and I won't have to cry anymore." Then Faith just gave her an oh okay but I'm still confused look. Me and Nicole laughed at Faith's reaction, then she got up and started to explain exactly what she told me as we walked back to our neighborhood.
