~"sleepless nights"~

"Namjoon."

The room goes quiet, and Jungkook hates the feeling of guilt that rises in his chest.

He knew that it didn't matter who he chose, he'd still have this feeling, yet he couldn't shake the feeling- and when Taehyung stood from his seat, Jungkook winced.

"You choose Namjoon? Why?!" Taehyung yells in protest.

They all vocalise their disappointment, and Jungkook immediately wants to crawl into a hole and hide there.

"Why didn't you choose me? I'm an amazing cuddler!" Taehyung fake cries and hugs Jungkook tightly, pretending to sob while he hides his face in the crook of Jungkook's neck.

Jungkook returns the hug and rubs comforting circles on his back.
"I'm sorry Taehyungie, but no matter who I choose someone will be upset." Taehyung's wails only grow louder, and Jungkook panics as he tries to calm the older down.

Then a in a quick motion Taehyung is pulled back from Jungkook's hug.
"Taehyung stop being so dramatic, it's annoying." Yoongi says and then sits back down in his seat.

All while this is happening Namjoon is silent, unsure of how to handle this situation.
He was extremely happy that he got chosen, yet at the same time he was scared.

He hadn't shared a bed with someone in years. What if he talks in his sleep and Jungkook finds him annoying. Or maybe while he sleeps he accidentally kicks the boy off of the bed- the thought was scary.

"Anyway, look at Namjoon- he's not even happy about it." Hoseok says bluntly with his arms crossed- Hoseok was kind, and loving, and wouldn't hurt a fly, yet he still can't control his jealousy when something or someone he likes gets stolen from him.

Sure Namjoon wasn't technically at fault, but Hoseok still couldn't seem to get over the tiny bit of resentment he now felt towards the other.

It would most likely blow over in a couple of hours, but in that moment right there, they were practically enemies in Hoseok's head- battling against each other to win the prince's heart.

Except there was no battle, and Hoseok was just being petty- he knew that, but would never admit it.

Namjoon stands up, chest puffed and ready to burst. Yet when he opened his mouth all that came out was "I'm actually really happy..." he spoke quietly but loud enough to be heard.

He quickly sat back down again, now feeling embarrassed seen as all eyes were suddenly on him, glaring at him- except for Jungkook of course, who had a tiny smile on his lips.

"Whatever, Jungkook has chosen- and even if some aren't happy with his choice, we'll just have to accept it. And that's final." Seokjin says boldly, and the others accept defeat and slump back in their seats.

Jungkook sits uncomfortably in his seat- he knew he didn't have to feel guilty, but he still did. He hated the disappointed look the others wore on their faces, they tried to hide it, but were clearly unsuccessful.

Then a small sigh escapes past Yoongi's lips, when he suddenly stands up and heads for the kitchen.

Jungkook's eyes follow him as he enters the kitchen. He looks in all the cupboards and drawers, even the refrigerator, as if he was looking for something in particular.

After a while of looking, he came back to the living room area- he stopped in front of Jungkook and extended his hand.

In his grasp was a bar of chocolate.

"Here... I overheard you saying in the car that you wanted some." He extended his arm a little more, as to gesture for the boy to grab the chocolate bar.

Jungkook took the bar from Yoongi's hand, and as he did Yoongi dragged himself back to his seat- slumping down in the chair as he sat down.

The other's eyes curiously eyed Yoongi who now hid his face with one hand as he rested his elbow on the arm rest.

There was a slight rosy colour now appearing on Yoongi's face, and everyone noticed it, except for Jungkook.

"Anyway," Taehyung suddenly says, interrupting the silence. "Jungkook, would you like to play some video games with me?" He asks eagerly, an endearing smile on his face.

"Oh! Me too!" Jimin chimes in, already sitting himself down into one of the beanbag chairs, a controller now in his in his hands.

Taehyung rolls his eyes, but ultimately ignores it.

Jungkook agrees to the offer and for the next hour or so, the three guys played video games. And Jungkook was extremely happy with how his life was evolving.
