The Light

1 - The start of something?

Kitten was currently streaming some Among us with her usual group. She had an imposter round and she and her imposter buddy, only needed one more kill. A few seconds before the emergency meeting could be called, Kitten sabotaged O2 and multiple people ran there while one tried to stay at the button. 2 seconds later her kill cooldown was finished and she clicked the button killing the one who stayed back.
The screen darkend and 'Victory' is written over the two imposters.

"YES!", Kitten cheered after she unmuted herself, "Nice job, xQc!" "Yeah! That was a nice round!", xQc cheered back. Everyone gave their comments on how they were killed and how anoying it was. "Anyway, it was really nice playing with you guys, but I need to still do some stuff so I'll be leaving for now", xQc said sound a bit depleted. "Yeah no problem", said Jacksepticeye. "But this was a lotta fun! Hopefully we'll do this again sometime", xQc finished saying.

After everyone said their goodbye's he left the discord call and the game. "Does anyone have someone that could join us?", Kitten asked, assuming they'd try to fill up the lobby again. "I might have someone, but they went offline again", said Shawn a bit hesitant. A few moments pass where everyone is just reading their chat and calling out the stream notifications. Kitten did the same. "Thanks xxK8xx for the sub!" "Nah, I don't normally have such good imposter rounds, I just had good luck", she answered a chat message claiming she were an expert imposter.

"Does the discord invite still work?", Toast asked after the seemingly silence in the discord call. "Yeah, it normally lasts for like... a day I think?", Charlie answered. "Wait, do we have people comming", asked Valkyrae, who probably didn't pay a lot of attention. "Yeah, Jack has one comming", Sykkuno answered. "Who do you have comming Jack?" "Oh, Corpse Husband. The man with the best voice you'll ever hear", he responded. A lotta people in the call ooh'd at that and almost imidiatly people poked fun at Sykkuno, who up until this point had the best voice award in the group, to which he responded a bit offended. "You all will be siding with him once he shows up", Jack said obviously excited about having this Corpse in the Game. A few moments later someone joined the call. "Oh there he is", said Jack. "Heyo Corpse, whats going on?", asked Ludwig. "Hello friend", responed Corpse.

Those two words was everything it took to get the call to explode. Kitten was very sound sensitive. Normally when she knows it'll get loud after a round or in a meeting she turns down the volume on her headphones, but this she did not expect. She didn't have enough time to register the guy's voice, before her ears exploded. She let out a wince and still with her eyes closed tried to find the volume wheele on her headset. By now Kitten already had a building headache. She registered someone chanting something about kicking Sykkuno and a lot of diffrent people shouting something.

Kitten was really happy she didn't have her camera on this stream, since she wasn't in the mood to put on some nice clothes and she also didn't really want to be seen in PJ's. A bit later while she was still recovering from the loudness the game started and she got to play. Just then her brain caught up to her and she registered the voice she just heard. "Holy fuck-", she breathed out forgetting that she wasn't supposed to swear on stream. She continued doing her tasks like the good crewmate that she was. While doing so she told her viewers how she didn't expect it to be loud and laughed a bit about herself and then made some comments about Corpse's voice.

Kitten's viewers knew about her sensitivities and her other mental issues. She never tried to hide it and tried to spread awareness and postivity at every possible turn, because she knew how hard it was to struggle with those kinds of things. During the round her headache settled down a bit and when a meeting got called she turned the volum down as usual.

The game round ended, with her having died after the first meeting. Kitten didn't really mind, because she got to talk to her chat a bit more. The chat was during every meeting freaking out over Corpse and she honestly didn't blame them. She actually found the hair on her arms standing up when he talk for a bit. It was quite a weird sensation.
