Kitten played a bunch of rounds with her friends and they had lot of fun. She didn't really notice how the time passed as she sliced throats as the imposter or did tasks as a crewmate. Kitten also noticed that Corpse was a lot more talkative then the day before. Probably because they weren't streaming.
A few hours passed and Kitten grew a bit tired. "I think Imma head out for now", she said while they talked about the round that just ended. To emphasize her point she yawned a bit. Everyone talked a bit to her and then when they finally said their goodbyes one especially stood out to her. "Talk to you later, Kitten." It was Corpse. She quickly said goodbye and disconnected from the discord call while her eyes widened and her heart quickened it paste.
Kitten was very well aware that that was her name, but still. Something about the way it rolled off of his toung got her flustered like a highschool girl with a crush. A highschool girl with a crush... Kitten wasn't sure how to react to that realization. She met the guy yesterday! Yet again she was always quick with having crushes on people. She got out of her chair and went to the kitchen to grab a glass of water. Kitten leaned against the counter as she drank staring into nothingness.
"What do I do now... Should I even do something. I mean, no way I have a chance. Ugh... This always happens!", Kitten murmered infront of herself. She wasn't a big flirt so that option was out of the way. She also knew the people she had crushes on almost always needed more time than her to develop attachments. Then of course there was the insecurity of him or people thinking she was solely attracted because of his voice, but she wasn't. Sure the was something alright, but that alone wouldn't have her feeling like this. She groaned to herself. Maybe more about herself...
Kitten put the used glass into the dishwasher and moved back to her room. There she sat back down at her computer and decided to just spend the rest of her day distracting herself. So she checked for new uploads on every channel she watched in the past time and turned her brain off.
The next day, as Kitten looked into the refrigerator, she noticed that it was about time to buy new groceries. She sighed deeply and tried not to panic just yet. After writing a list and putting on an outfit - that would not look interesting enough to look at, but not plain enough to cause people to wonder - she left her apartment. Her face mask in place, she walked down the sidewalk to the supermarkt less than a block away from her. Kitten had her headphones on and was blasting her "outside please help" playlist. The playist was full with songs that were either calming, about anxiety or otherwise angsty in a way that didn't cause her to cry.
She arrived at the store already fidgeting and her hand playing with one of her necklaces. Kitten grabbed a basked and tried not to run through the isles, because that would probably only cause more attention on her. She slowly noticed how her motions got more stiff and breathing got slightly harder. She was already at the line for the checkout when she looked around and saw someone in the next row over looking vaguely in her direction. She closed her eyes for a few seconds and tried to count her breaths. Every few seconds she opened her eyes to check on the line. The breathing did stop her from hyperventilating, but other then that didn't calm her. It was her time to check out and instead of saying anything she just held up her bankcard to indecate she wanted to pay with it. When the cashier asked her if she wanted a reciept she just quickly shook her head while she bagged the items.
As soon as she left the store she quickened her pace even faster and almost ran home. The second the door closed behind her Kitten ripped the mask of her face and sat down to breath. She let out a string of curses as soon as she had enough breath for it. After a few seconds she took the bag of groceries and put in on the kitchen counter then went to sit herself down on the couch. Kitten pulled her phone out of her pocket to check any notifications she might've gotten.
Poki
Heya. I wanted to ask if u wanna join us for among us later at around 7 pm?Kitten
Yeah sure. Who else will be there?Poki
Oh you know. The usual groupThey chatted a bit longer until they both had things to do and said goodbye for now. Kitten finally stood up and put away the groceries. Then she took some of them out again and made herself some pasta with a nice tomato sauce.
She took her plate to her room and sat down at her computer. She went a bit on twitter and responded to a few tweets and posted about streaming later that day. She also checked the rest of her socials and spend some time with them. Afterwards she put on a few more episodes of deathnote until it was time to stream. Kitten set everything up and started the stream, before joining the discord. This time her setting up also included putting on some clothed that matched her aesthetic and making sure her webcam works. She talked a bit to her views and after making sure people had time to start watching the stream she joined the discord call. "Heya guys", she said, announcing her presence. A chorus of hellos rang back to her. "How's your day been?", asked Rae her casually. "Pretty shitty", Kitten laughed, "I had to go outside to buy groceries." "Oh man. That sucks for you", Rae responded already knowing Kitten longer and how she acted in public spaces. "What's wrong with grocery shopping?", asked Sykkuno innocently. "Nothing, except I get real bad paranoia and sometimes panick attacks from it.", Kitten explained trying to sound casual. "Oh man, that sucks. I get that too tho", Corpse chipped in.
Kitten tried not to get to excited with Corpse being able to relate to her, since she had her webcam on. She was used to people pretending to relate or misunderstanding her, but somehow she felt that he actually did understand. There was a tiny voice in her head that told her that she was making things up and that she was already blinded by emotions. She quickly shook it away and the rounds of killing started.
