Tobirama woke to pleasant morning. Madara once again snuggled behind her. She found herself pleasantly sore, like after a good workout. And blushed remembering how that came to be.She got out of bed and went to wash up in the adjacent bathing area. Sinking low in the bath tub, she breathed a sigh of relief as the warm water soothed her muscles. Once, she deemed herself clean, she dries herself by pulling the moisture off of her.
Tobirama went over to her things, still packed but tucked neatly in the closet and looked through it to find something appropriate to wear. Something she could be comfortable in but also not look too under-dressed, as her Anija often told her that she tended to disregard presentation over practicality. She decides to done a light blue yukata and dark blue haori over it with light whirl patterns. A gift from Mito, on her last birthday.
Tobirama pulled out her kyodai and sat about brushing her hair. The kyodai had belonged to her mother, had been her wedding gift when she came to the Senju. A beautiful black with storm patterns done in gold. She had given it to Tobirama before her death. She wondered if her mother would have been happy, seeing her married to the enemy (then again they weren't enemies anymore). She missed them, mother and her two little brothers.
Tobirama broke out of the reminiscing upon hearing a grunt from the bed. Looking over her shoulder she was Madara stretch. "Good morning, husband." She greets.
"Hm? Mo'nin'." He mumbles back. Guess Madara isn't the early morning type. Then again with how much he scowls you won't think he's anytime-of-the-day type. Having put on light kohl, she deemed herself presentable. No need to go out in a full face of makeup. She wasn't a commoner princess. Her clan might be considered one of the Nobel clans, by shinobi standards that is. But she herself was a shinobi, and that much makeup just wasn't practical in her view. She wasn't really sure what her duties are. This is, of course, an alliance marriage for peace. She didn't think she'd get many tasks this early in. With how many kills she had at the battle field it's going to be hard to gain any form of trust from her new clan. New clan, that's going to take a while to get used to. Well she can always ask Madara but he doesn't seem all that coherent right now. No harm in trying she supposed.
"Husband, is there something you would like me do? I wonder what my duties are to be in the house hold.""Nn, it's too early for this.... can you cook?"
"Of course I can."
"Then you can make breakfast if you want. I'll have Midori-San explain your duties later."Humming in reply Tobirama leaves the room. Going towards what she assumes is the kitchen. She can feel Uchiha Tajima and Izuna's chakra in their respective rooms, so she avoided those. Soon enough she comes across the cooking area. It took her a while to find all the things she needed. Making sure to memorize what goes where. While she wasn't sure of everyone's preferences, she doubted she could go wrong with the traditional miso, fish and rice breakfast. Setting the rice to cook she took the fish she found by the windowsill, assuming someone must have delivered them early in the morning. Which lead her to wonder if the Uchiha didn't have preservative seals. She'll bring it up to Madara later. Deep in thought about what she could do to help her new clan, she cleaned the fish and started to grill them. She went about looking for salt and spices but couldn't find any except for the fire country specific, chilli pepper. She doubted it would go well with the mild miso. So tapping the seal on her forearm, she pulled out a sealing scroll that contained her personal spice collection. It was always good to be prepared!
Fish and soup done, she looked at the rice, finding it almost done too. She put a few cloves in for aroma and closed the lid for it to steam for another 5 minute or so. By now she could feel everyone awake and moving. Madara came up behind her, "What are you making? Smells amazing." She looked over and saw that he had changed, though his hair still looked like a birds nest. "Just miso, fish and rice."
"Hmm." Madara places his chin on her shoulder looking over as she started to plate everything. His breath warm by her ear, made her blush lightly. Which on her pale skin showed obviously. As she opened the rice again the blessed aroma of cloves mixed with rice's natural scent wafted around the kitchen, she felt Izuna and Tajima approach the dining area. She lightly pushed Madara, not wanting her in-laws to see this closeness. She might trust Madara on the note that he was her Anija's best friend and his treatment of her, but the rest of the family and the clan was another thing. Tobirama knew from experience that if Izuna got an inch, he would drag it a good few miles. She was not giving him anymore teasing material. He had enough, what with her being his elder brother's wife now."Madara, Tobirama." Tajima greets, a little stilted. Like he hadn't expected to see her. "Otou-San. Good morning." "Otou-sama." Both Madara and her greeted back.
Izuna, the brat, just sat at the table and asked,"Aniki, since when did you get this good at cooking. This smells amazing!"
"I didn't make it, Tobirama did."
"Huh...are you its edible then? I didn't know the White Demon could cut anything other then people." He taunted right back.
Tobirama flinched internally, determined not to give Izuna a reaction. Madara scowled and went to open his mouth but was beaten by his father as Tajima reproached his younger son. " Izuna, don't disrespect food. You sister-in-law is gracious enough to feed you." "Gracious?! You don't know, she could've poisoned it for all we know!"
"Izuna! That's enough. Stop being a nuisance this early in the morning." Said Madara as he moved to help Tobirama set the table.
Soon everyone settled at the table and started eating.
"Hmm this is very good!" Madara said as he took a bite of the fish. "What did you put in it? It's not chilli but its delicious. "
"It's salt that I got from a mission in Wave." Tobirama replied, happy that Madara liked her cooking.
Tajima hummed also impressed. While Izuna tried not to show that he too, liked it. Well him liking it was enough for Tobirama. She can always make him admit it later. Perhaps, she can try the Applewood smoked chicken, a Suna speciality.
Tobirama got up to clear the table once everyone was done.
"Here, I'll help you. Midori-San should be here soon." Said Madara.
