Cadence had just gotten out of the shower when she heard her phone chime. She thought it might be a text from Khyrie. They had exchanged numbers when he stopped by with Briscoe and sent a few texts here and there, nothing too thirsty.

They say the best way to get over your ex is to get under somebody new. Yes, she'd had sex that she very much enjoyed with Prosper but he wasn't somebody new. And the feelings she had for him came rushing back the moment she orgasmed. She needed someone new and different. Khyrie was just that. Yes, they knew each other in high school but she didn't keep up with him after graduation so she had no idea what his life was like. She liked that. Not to mention that Khyrie was also fine as hell.

Her mood soured when the alert on her phone was just Prosper walking up to the front porch. Fuck she thought to herself. She quickly put her robe over her bra and panties before rushing near the front door where she stood with her arms folded waiting for him to open it. Prosper was struggling making it in the door with his bags, Messiah's gifts, and his work folders all in his arms so he didn't notice Cadence giving him the death stare immediately. As soon as he put his things down he became aware of her presence and immediately stood straight up. He would've jumped back if he was the scary type.

"Damn girl, what you doing right here?" Prosper asked in an alarmed tone.

"What are you doing here? I thought we agreed that I needed space," Cadence retorted.

"Yes, but that's why I'm here. I want to talk about that."

"I don't! I said what I said."

"But you don't mean it, shawty. And I know you don't." Prosper turned around to close the door and lock up before putting the rest of his things down.

He took a moment to notice the subtle redecorations Cadence had implemented since she'd been back. She instantly made the place modern and eclectic without changing too much. New picture frames here, new art prints there, two new chairs, and some plants to liven up the space. However, he was distracted by the pole in the middle of the piano room.

"What's this?" Prosper inquired, pointing at the pole.

"Therapy," Cadence replied flatly before turning on her heels to head back upstairs and finish getting dressed. Prosper followed quickly behind her catching small glimpses of her ass as she ascended up the stairs in front of him.

"I wanna t—," Prosper cut himself off once Cadence took off her robe revealing her ravishing body, "Damn, shawty. You so fuckin' fine."

"This ain't nothin' you ain't seen before, don't gas me."

Cadence put on a two piece biker short set to lounge about in. She was planning on working on more routines for her girls to do at Player's Ball but now that Prosper was here, of course that may change.

"I'm not gassin' you shawty. You really are fine as fuck, you know that. But, um, can we talk?"

"About?"

"Us."

"Us... Weekly? The magazine? Because you can't be talmbout me and you," Cadence half-joked.

"Oh okay, this nigga think she the Queen of Comedy huh?"

"Wow, Playa P really getting soft in his old age! I let you hit twice and now you asking what about us? Total help me sing."

Prosper sucked his teeth, "Cade. I'm tryna be serious."

"I know, and I'm tryna avoid the topic," Cadence admitted.
