Cole paces the forest floor as Drew scoops Angie into his arms. Cole pacing and holding the baby, tried to think of a plan.
"What if we go back to the house? We could find some first aid kids and some other things. We could still save her."
"Cole, you can't save her. She is already dead. Right now, you need to think about who is i n your arms. You haven't even named it yet."
"Her. I haven't named her." Cole said.
Drew looked at him, with a look of sorrow. He knew that Cole was going to have a hard time raising the child.
"Maybe you should give her to some of your family memebers, if you have any." Drew suggested.
"Not a chance. This is my daughter. I will not loose her like I lost my wife. And I'm not even sure that was my wife, or if this is even my daughter.....but I won't abandon her. We should still go back to the house. Do you know what's the house is?"
"Yeah. Let's go. And decidewhat your going to call her on the way." Drew told Cole.
"I think I'm gong to name her Michelle." Cole said slowly.
When they made it back to the house, they saw that there were some lights on inside. They went inside and looked for a bathroom. They found the bedroom instead. It was a complete mess. There was blood all over, and there was broken glass on the floor. The closet door was open and clothes were all over the place. There were baby clothes in a box on the floor and this brought Cole to tears as he dressed Mitch. Mitch was sleep I g so he was trying to be careful not to wake her. He was going to put Mitch on the bed to sleep, then he saw the heart.
"Drew, get in here."
"What do you want?" Drew said.
"Look on the bed. That's not my heart. I have a heart in my chest. You have a haleart, I think, and Mitch has a heart. Whose heart is this?" Cole asked slowly. Scared to know the answer he left the room with a hunch that it might be Angie's. He went to Angie's body, which was placed on the couch. It looked like she was just sleeping. It almost looked like she was breathing. It was probably just his imagination. Still scared, he walked over to her body and lifted up her shirt just enough to see her chest to see if there was a hole in it. There was. It was a big hole. It looked like somebody was trying to carve a pumpkin. While looking at the big gaping hole, she sat up and punched Cole in the nose so hard he passed out and hit the floor with his head it make a thunking sound. Angie crawled downt the hall to her room and propped herself up to the bed and grabbed the heart and stuffed it back into her chest. After she got it into her chest, she looked at Drew holding her baby.
"Give me my baby. Please."
Drew gave Angie the baby. Then went looking for Cole. Shaking him over and over, he finally some up.
"Where's Angie? Where's my wife." Cole demanded.
"Cole, she is in the next room. She had your baby, remember?"
"Yeah, I remember...."
Cole rushed dizzily down the hall to the room and stopped and fell to his knees. He crawled to his family, crying, sobbing, and trying to stop, but failing.
Days later, every thing was back to normal, except for the house. Angie explained that she had a times and it was making her hallucinate... She told them that she ripped her heart out but thought somebody else did it. She explained everything. They thought everything was returnig to normal. A couple of months had passed and Mitch was growing like a weed. Everything was normal. Five years passed and Mitch was starting kindergarten soon! Angie and Cole were so proud. But a few days before she started kindergarten, something went wrong. Angie went to wake up Mitch on a beautiful Saturday morning, and she was gone.
