"Sometimes I think about how different the world would be if I wasn't part of it, and I wonder whether people would be happier if I were to just... Disappear, and be erased from everybody's memories..."
A sigh escaped from your chapped lips; you lied in bed next to your boyfriend of two years, Aoba Seragaki. The early morning sun shone in through the open window next to the bed, and you had to shield your eyes from the blinding light. You turned around on your side so that you were facing the blue haired boy. "Sorry, what was it that you wanted to tell me?"
Aoba shook his head gently. "Oh, it's nothing important, really."
"Hm..." You knew that there was something else that he wanted to tell you, but you decided against arguing with him in order to get him to spill. Today was just one of those days where you just couldn't handle a fight.
Your alarm clock ticked away next to the bed, the soft clicking noises were calming as they sounded in a never changing pattern. Sometimes, you wished that life could be like the ticking of an alarm clock, going on forever at ease, with no unnecessary changes or conflict.
Being a fan of routines, you clung to this delusion.
Aoba stood up from the bed, and walked over to the dresser on the other side of the room. "(Name), I don't like it when you talk about things... Like how people might be happier if you died..." He pressed his palms to his forehead, closing his eyes for a single moment. "You know that people would be upset if you were gone..."
You clicked your tongue, too lazy to get out of bed to join him on the other side of the room. "I know you're probably right, but I my mind still somehow manages to wander to that thought. Sorry if I upset you..."
He returned to the bed, his hair now pulled back in his usual style, and he leaned down to place a kiss on your forehead. "Don't apologize. I just wanted you to know that." His face was soft and gentle, and he looked exactly the same as he did two years ago, when you had first fallen in love with him. "You're a wonderful person (Name)... Don't ever doubt that..."
"Shut it, you sweet-talker." You pulled him back down so that you could place a sweet kiss on his lips. "You keep on saying things like that to people, and you'll make every girl in town go wild."
Aoba laughed, a sweet, hearty laugh that you loved. "That wouldn't matter..."
You raised your head from your pillow ever so slightly, just so you could get a better view of your boyfriend as he stood up again from the bed and went to go choose a shirt from the closet that you two shared. "What do you mean by that?" You asked as he pulled his pyjama shirt over his head.
He yawned a bit while he slipped his regular shirt on, and grabbed his jeans from the closet as well. "I only need you (Name), and no one else. If I were to make all of the girls in the entire world go mad, that wouldn't matter, because none of them would even remotely compare to you. You're the most beautiful girl in the world, and I wouldn't want anyone other than you. I love you."
You had a blank stare on your face.
"Have you been using Scrap on me?" You asked, finally deciding to get out of bed and face the day. You sat on the side of the bed as you allowed your body to adjust to sitting upright, rather than lying down.
Aoba glanced at you for just a moment before returning his attention to his jeans, which he was currently pulling up his legs. "No, why?"
You lazily stood up and wrapped your arms around his waist, burying your face into his shoulder. You loved moments like these, spent just with Aoba. Although the two of you probably wouldn't seem like it to other people, you were a very childish and lovey-dovey couple. Most of your time was spent snuggling and sharing sweet kisses. "Because I find it weird that you somehow always know what I need to hear."
He smiled cutely, lifting your chin to place a kiss on your nose. You scrunched your face in return, making him laugh before softly placing kisses all over your face. "Well, that's just because I'm your boyfriend. It's my job to know these things."
Letting go of you, he grabbed his headphones from the dresser and slung them around his neck. "Well, I better be getting to work. I'll call you if I need anything." He exited the room, and you could hear the door open, and a faint click rang throughout the small house as he locked it behind him.
You slumped back down on the bed.
You were so lucky to have a sweet-talker as a boyfriend.
