Lucy's POV

"Lucy?" Levy's familiar voice chimed.

"Hey, Levy-chan!" I said, attempting to keep my anger out of my tone. "Think we can meet up?" There was some low murmuring on Levy's line.

"Ah... Sorry, Lucy! I'm a little...ow!...busy right now. Don't you have a date or something?" Her cry of surprise concerned me.

"Levy, are you alright?" There was some more noise on her line. I could hear Levy yelling faintly.

"I'm fine I'm fine, Lu. Don't worry about me. Enjoy your date! Tell Jellal I said hi!" The phone call cut off abruptly.

"Levy? Levy?" It was no use. I sighed and turned off my phone. Erza... Why was Jellal doing this to her? I clenched my hand around my phone. What had she ever done to him? It was an arranged marriage, yes, but why didn't he do anything? If I had someone I loved, I wouldn't give them up for anything or anyone. My phone buzzed.

To: Lucy
From: Jellal
Lucy come back. Don't be careless. You shouldn't run off on your own like that.

I didn't respond. Somewhere deep inside me, I wanted to love Jellal. If we were going to be married and spend the rest of our life together, it should be in love. Jellal wasn't a bad person. He was actually very charismatic and kind underneath his stoic businessman appearance. I wanted to love him and for him to love me. But he wasn't for me. I could see the way he looked at Erza. There is a longing in his eyes. He is softer, even more kind and open. But Erza was hurt, hurt beyond repair. And she didn't know that I was his fiancée. I, her client, was her true love's fiancée. My phone buzzed again.

To: Lucy
From: Jellal
Reply so I know you haven't been kidnapped and raped.

Another text was sent, this time from a different person.

To: Lucy
From: Erza
I'm returning to the agency. Natsu is driving me. You and your boyfriend can return in the limousine. Be back before 4. Your next photoshoot is then.

I bit my lip. Erza had avoided saying Jellal's name. She was obviously hurt from seeing him. That bastard. How dare he leave her.
'It wasn't his fault.'
He had a choice! If he truly loved her, he would stay.
'His parents' trust depended on it. You know he doesn't have a very good relationship with them.'
Why would he give up the love of his life for them?
'He thought that he would return to her after this was all over.'
He knows that this won't ever be over. He knew! I let out a scream of frustration. Jellal was stupid. Stupid beyond everything I ever knew. He couldn't do anything right. Not even for the love of his life, my best friend. I gripped my phone tightly. Who could I talk to this about? Levy-chan was busy doing who knows what. Who else could help me? Who else could help Erza?

"Move out of my way, wench!" A shrill voice shouted. I turned to see an angry blue haired woman. Her hair was curled in a ridiculous octopus hair style. She was walking a little black dog.

"Gomen!" I exclaimed, jumping out of her way immediately, although I was sure that I wasn't exactly in her way.

"Hmmph." she tittered. "Peasants these days, rude." She turned to look at her little puppy. "Isn't that right, Gray-sama?" The dog gave a little bark.

"Gray?" I asked. "You know Gray?" At the name, the woman whirled around to face me.

"Gray-sama? How could I not know Gray-sama?" she twirled around with hearts in her eyes. I found it hard to believe that this woman had been angrily staring at me a moment ago. Suddenly, she turned and gave me an icy glare. "How do you know Gray-sama?"

"He is my-"

"LOVE RIVAAAAAALLLL!" The woman screeched, scooping up her dog into her arms. "You are a love rival! Only Juvia is worthy of Gray-sama's loveee." She said, kissing the top of the dog's head. She pointed a finger at me.

"Yes?" I asked nervously.

"My name is Juvia Loxar! Don't you forget it!!" I recognized her name. She was a model for one of the branches of my father's company. I nodded slightly.

"And my name is Lucy Hearfillia. I hope to work with you in the future." I bowed and walked away. I smirked slightly at the surprised look on Juvia's face.

Levy's POV

"Don't do that while I'm on the phone!" I scolded my boyfriend who was lounging on the couch. He gave me a sweet smile.

"I am so sorry, Levy-chan, I couldn't resist your beauty." I rolled my eyes. My eyes wandered to the picture on the fridge. The picture of me and my childhood best friend. I turned away from it quickly. I had a boyfriend, I didn't need to think about those things.

"Because of you, I couldn't help Lu-chan!" I continued my lecture. He ran his hand through his orange hair and shrugged.

"I am you priority, aren't I, Levy-chan?"

"Lu-chan is my best friend, Jet! You can't get in between our friendship!" Jet reached up and grabbed my arm and pulled me onto the couch next to him. He wrapped his arms around me and whispered into my ear.

"I love you, Levy-chan." I glanced at the picture on the fridge again, the picture of a tall black haired man with his arm on top my head.

"I miss you..." I whispered. "Gajeel-kun."
