They decided to stop at the nearest park in Koeun's subdivision. Koeun is fidgeting unsure of what to say and scared that everything will be awkward after this talk and things will never be the same between them again.

"Thanks for agreeing to talk to me." Mark breaking the silence. "I can explain why I acted like that.."

"Its okay. I understand, if i were you i will be shocked too." Koeun said while shaking her head. "I should know my limit when it comes to alcohol or else I will say every secrets that I know."

Koeun hears Mark laughs a little.

"I agreed to talk to you because we will be graduating soon. You know how stubborn I am and shy and everything.. what if i don't have the courage to talk to you or you will get tired asking me to talk to you.. i don't want our friendship to end like that." Koeun said.

"...and you'll be leaving." Koeun whispers.

"I will just go there for vacation. After 2 or 3 months ill be back. I already told mom that I will do business here together with Taeyong. So, ill be staying." Mark tells Koeun.

"Oh?" Koeun looks at Mark. Surprised.

"I only told Mom about my plan last Tuesday. That's why.."

Koeun nods. They're still not on the topic yet. They're still testing the waters.

Silence..

"The reason why I reacted that way.. is because i know that you're drunk. I keep on telling myself that its not true or you might not remember it the next day.. but, you, avoiding me like i have some kind of a disease made me realize that its true. Im sorry..for doubting you"

"Its okay. You don't have to like me that way, Mark. Im fine with the friendship. My feelings will fade eventually, maybe telling you about it will help." Koeun reassures Mark with a smile.

".. Don't..." Mark said while looking Koeun in the eyes.

"What? Don't...? What do you mean?" Koeun asks Mark.

Mark sighs deeply, still looking at Koeun.

"I like you, too."

Koeun's chinky eyes grows big. Mark earns a slap in the arm from Koeun.

"Hey!!! Don't you dare play with my feelings!!!"

"But its true, Eun. I really do." Mark tells Koeun while smiling.

"Since when?? If you're toying with me now, Mark Lee. I swear I will hate you forever." Koeun said.

"When Lucas asked for your number during the school festival..?? I was annoyed when he keeps on asking me questions about you. He was asking for your number but of course I didn't give it to him. Jaemin asked me why.. he told me maybe I like you more than just a friend but I keep on denying my feelings because i don't want to lose you too." He sighs. "But when he asked you personally in front of me and... without hesitation you gave it to him.." Mark even rolls his eyes. ".. I want to punch his smiling face." Mark smiling while he tells Koeun. "I was about to confessed to you but i kept on thinking about the friendship.. Did you know Jeno and Karina argued because of that. Karina keeps on pushing me to confess while Jeno told Karina to stop pressuring me. Hahaha"

"Those two..." Koeun said smiling. Jeno and Karina were in a relationship because Koeun played cupid.

"Sooo...?" Mark asks Koeun.

"So?.."

"I just confessed to you. We like each other more than friends.. and we can't stay as just friends obviously unless you don't want to level up the friendship."  Mark tells Koeun, hoping Koeun will consider his suggestions.

"Im not pressuring you to answer immediately. You can think about it."

"Ok. Thank you, Mark. This is new to me. So, i need to think about this."

"As long as you will stop avoiding me." Mark smiles at Koeun.

"Yeah. I'm sorry about that...

...its getting late. You don't need to walk me home, im fine now. You should get going." Koeun tells Mark while fixing her bag.

"What?? I just confessed to you. So, me, walking you home is me already courting you. Or not??"

Koeun couldn't say a word. All of these are new to her. Someone confessing, courtship and Mark liking her back.

"So, everything you will do now is you courting me? This is not because were friends?" Koeun asks Mark.

"Yep. Me holding your hands, hugging you, putting my hand around your shoulders, getting close to you, and giving you kisses on your forehead is me courting you. And everything you will do to me i will put malice on it. So, be careful."

And that earns a slap on his stomach. Mark laughs at Koeun.

"But if you will only allow me to court you. Will you allow me?" Mark asks Koeun with pleading eyes.

Koeun just gives him a nod. Then, walks away but Mark follows her immediately.

After 4 houses, Koeun and Mark already arrive at her house.

"Thanks for walking me home."

"Thanks for talking to me."

"Go now. Its getting late already.." Koeun shoos Mark away.

Mark spreads his arms, asking Koeun for a hug. "Where's my hug?"

Koeun even though hesitant and shy still gives him a hug.

"The perks of courting your bestfriend." Mark said while kissing Koeuns head.

They hug for a minute or two when suddenly the front gate opens revealing Koeun's father.

"Oh?? Why are you two hugging?? Are you together now? Are you already Koeun's boyfriend Mark?"

And that make Koeun's face red and Mark laugh.

Maybe confessing to your best friend with the help of alcohol is fine at all.
