Chapter 2

I woke up to the wonderful smell, it smelled like bacon and eggs. I opened my eyes and carefully got out of our cuddle pile to not wake anyone, still in my faded red joggers and black T. I walked down the stairs to see Sally making bacon and eggs, she had her blue apron on and her brown curly hair in a ponytail.

Good morning sweetheart she cheered, I smiled

Good morning, do you need help I asked

Only if you want to, she said.

I grabbed some seasoning from some of the cupboards and started to sprinkle some on the bacon. Me and Sally cooked the egg and seasoned the bacon, cooking with her was like cooking with my dad in the morning. We cooked the bacon and eggs, when we were done everyone was running down the stairs and to the table. Me and Sally plated the food, an egg and 5 bacon strips each. I grabbed my plate and said Im gonna go eat on the deck I said,

She nodded Ill join you.

we grabbed our plates and opened the wood door, then the mesh, I then placed my food on the coffee table and sat on the wood styled chairs. Sally sat in the one next to me. We ate our food in silence enjoying the small forest at the back of our house, the birds chirping and the wind carrying a soft breeze. Once we finished our breakfast we took the sketchbooks out of the compartment under the table, with two pencils and just drew the scenery.

After an hour we put back our books in the compartment and went back inside, Sally said she had to start work now and we could hang out or something later. So I walked to my room and closed the door, I sat down in the wood chair at my desk and opened the drawer containing my jonel, I wrote down what happened for the past one and a half along with the date. For some odd reason I can remember almost everything in very specific detail, this also helps getting good grades in school. I remember with this one foster home if I didnt get a good grade or forgot something, they would get mad and you dont want to be around them mad. It's not the best thing when they're mad- NOPE not thinking about that. I closed my book and set down my pencil, I put back the book in my desk drawer. Maybe I should go for a walk. It would be nice, maybe I can see Aniza. She did say her new foster home is around here, I could text her to meet up at the McKinney park. I quickly grabbed my phone and went to Anizas contact name best sister award goes to, she chose it not me. I quickly texted a hey then want to meet at McKinney. I waited a couple minutes till she responded reading a book called Mark Of Athena, its like my 10th time reading it. After about 10 minutes there was a ding and my phone lit up with a new text. I picked it up and read, sure, meet at the special tree at 20. ya I responded, I turned off my phone and changed from my joggers into dark blue jeans, with a black t shirt. I grab my faded red sweater and slip my hands through the sleeves. I then grab my little black bag containing my sketch book, pencil and pencil crayons, 20 bucks and a bunch of other things. I put in my journal and phone and walked out of my room, SALLY, PAUL IM GOING TO THE PARK I yelled.

OK, BE BACK BEFORE 9 Paul yelled back, I walked to the front door and grabbed my white Adidas sneakers and sat on the bench at the doorway. I took the right shoe and put my foot in it, I then pulled on the tongue to slide it fully on. I did the same with the other shoe and got up from the bench and opened the door.

BYE I yelled, then stepped outside, closing the door behind me. The wood door made a small noise against the frame, I walked down the steps and to the road. When I saw there were no cars I walked across. I then walked around the small pumpkin farm and took the small turn, I kept walking down till a familiar stop. I checked both ways before crossing the street. I went through the entrance, past all the structures and swings and into the filled. I went to the tree in the corner of two houses, surrounded by a couple of other trees. I climb up the tall tree in the corner. I placed my right foot in the slot between the tree and a branch, I placed my left foot on the other one. I then took a step on the next branch with my right, I then grabbed hold of the branch above then swung my body and placed my foot behind the other. I then kneeled down a little and moved my feet back. I then climbed on the next branch, I then stretched my arms up again to reach the next branch, three branches later I was at the center of the tree that had several branches reaching out. I sat there leaning against the branch and plopped my bag in my lap. I pulled the zipper and unzipped the bag, I grabbed out my book and started reading. I was at the Best part, Percy and Annabeth ran to each other and hugged and of course kissed. She then Judo flips him and threatens him to ever leave again, those two are just adorable. I was at the part where They escaped the aquarium, and the Romans. Honestly this is my favorite book, but I love the other two because we get some Nico perspective.
