Ara Malfoy ( A HP fanfic)

Chapter Eleven

After skipping her last three classes Ara decided to get up and go for a walk along the Black Lake, she knew dinner would be soon but she still didn't feel like talking to anybody.

A layer of frost caused the grass to crunch under Aras touch as she walked slowly along the dark, gloomy lake. It looked particularly black today and held a suffocating fog adding a spooky touch, Ara thought to herself.

"Ara,"

Ara continued walking, deep in thoughts.

"Ara," The whisper was louder now causing Ara to flinch but she still continued walking.

"Ara!" A loud dragging hoarse whisper repeated a third time this time causing the girl to stop in utter confusion.

"Hello? Who's there?" Ara replied, looking around.

The whisper came again and Ara looked down into the murky waters when all of a sudden a blue blinding light shot out of the water.

Ara fell back in shock and screamed at the light.

"What! What do you want?!"

"I should be asking you that question but I already know," The light said, continuing to shine brightly down on Ara.

"What do you mean?!" Ara demanded as she got to her feet.

"You want to find out your Hogwarts house, correct?" The light questioned.

"Yes, how do you know?"

"Your a powerful witch Ara, you have strong energy and I have the power to read that energy."

Ara stared at the blinding light for a second, she had never heard or read about a light that could talk.

"Well you have now," The light suddenly said after reading Aras mind energy once again.

"Stop that, have you just came here to read my mind or are you going to do something useful!" Ara shouted, squinting up at the light.

"Ok ok I suppose I will have to help you now child but first you must promise to not tell a single soul about me otherwise you will pay."

"I promise," Ara said quietly.

"Ok well I know you need to get to the Secret Forest and that will be a lot of bus fares and you are definitely not strong enough to fly all the way across London so the only thing we can do is use Floo Powder." The Light declared as it lowered down a bit.

"Well where can I get that from?" Ara asked.

"You will have to steal it from the supply cupboard and that's up to you to sort out."

Ara nodded and waited for the light to continue giving her directions.

"Once you are in the Secret Forest you will need to be quick to find the Secret Gateway said make sure you take your broom with you and watch out for the Gerdlins."

"Gerdlins?" Ara said, she had never heard of a creature called a Gerdlin.

"Gerdlins are your typical ugly fairy with very sharp teeth."

"Oh," Ara replied with a worried face.

"Once you have found the gateway you will need to know the password, old boot." The light whispered cautiously so only Ara could hear. "Once you are through the gate unfortunately you are on your own but there are books in the restricted section all about the Forbidden Lands."

"Thank you so so much!" Ara said in joy.

Suddenly she could hear Theo and Lucia calling her name.

"Ara! Ara! Where are you?"

"Quick you need to go back under the water now, my friends are coming, quick!"

The blue light started to flash black and white when it finally blew up into tiny ashy pieces on the ground which slowly faded away into the soil.

"There you are! We have been looking for you everywhere!" Lucia said as she hugged her best friend.

"I have thought it through and I have figured a way to get to the Forbidden Lands!" Ara announced with pride.

Theo and Lucia exchanged worried glances.

"Isn't it called Forbidden Lands for a reason Ara, it's to dangerous!"

Ara continued smiling and simply replied with, "Well I am going whether you come or not."
