Ara Malfoy ( A HP fanfic)

Chapter Thirteen

"I can't believe you!" Theo shouted the next morning.

"I'm sorry!" Ara shouted back as the morning sun gleamed in through the tinted window. The holidays were coming up which was the perfect time for Ara to go to the Forbidden Lands.

It was breakfast in the Great Hall and everyone seemed to be staring at Ara and whispering, she just glared at them and continued eating her pancakes and maple syrup. Theo had told Lucia about the little problem which, as you can imagine, sent Lucia into a panic.

"You're so stupid! You should of been more careful!"

These phrases kept passing from Lucia to Ara but Ara continued to eat, not letting this stop her from enjoying this wonderful feast. Until all of a sudden the headmaster stood up.

"Excuse me!"

The excitable hall fell silent. Ara gulped.

"Sorry to disturb your breakfast this morning but I have a little something I need to tell you."

The three friends looked at each other all knowing what he was going to say.

"In the early hours of the morning a teacher came to my office after finding a piece of paper regarding a plan for stealing Floo powder from the supply cupboard!"

He held up the exact piece of paper Aras plan was on, everyone gasped except for Ara who shared a gulp once again.

"The caretaker has also confirmed that Floo Powder has been stolen."

More gasps arose from the tables.

"Unfortunately no name has been written on it but I recommend you step forward and own up before we discover who it was. We will also be looking at your textbooks to try and match the handwriting with this."

Ara bit her lip, what was she going to do? Should she step forward? Should she keep quiet? These questions filled her brain.

"Thank you, continue with your breakfast!"

"Ara you have to tell him!" Lucia ordered.

"Are you mad! She can't do that!" Theo answered back.

Ara didn't say anything and headed to her first class.

She tried her best to act normal not wanting to give any hints that it was her but this also meant she needed to change her handwriting which wasn't something you do everyday. Placing her quill onto the paper, Ara made her writing smaller and slightly slanted to the left. This has to do.

After her class Ara decided to spend her free time by the Black Lake where she hoped she might get to talk with her fellow light. Which to her delight popped out of the water blinding Ara causing her to squint and look away.

"Do you have to shine so bright you will cause me serious eye damage!"

"Yes Ara I do, now why are you here?" The light replied.

"I managed to steal a batch of Floo Powder but the thing is I may have accidentally dropped the plan on my way and now they are trying to find out who stole it and I'm really stressing out!" Ara said quickly as she got her breath back.

"You mean this plan?" The light whispered.

All of a sudden a rumpled, stained piece of paper shot out of the light and onto Aras feet. And just as she expected the exact words she had written in the library a few days ago was imprinted onto it.

"How?!" Ara shouted as she picked it up totally bewildered by this magic.

"I know a lot Ara, I went and got it as soon as I heard the trouble you had got yourself into!"

"But how?" Ara questioned examining the paper.

"It doesn't matter now, there will be nothing to worry about when it's gone ." The light replied as the paper floated out of Aras hands and gracefully sank into the water of the lake, never to be seen again.

Once again this strange light had made Ara happy.

She went and told Theo and Lucia, who were shocked at how "Ara" had managed to steal the paper from the headmaster.

"That's a secret I can't tell."

This was her fifth lesson on her broom and already a great improvement had caused her to be top of the class to everyone's surprise. This didn't help anyone like her more though it seemed to only make them more bitter towards her but she didn't mind, this would soon settle down once she had a house, she thought comfortingly.
