My back burned as the whip slashed at my skin. The cuffs around my wrist holding me up against my will.

"Illumi, you're so pretty, when will you learn not to bring strangers home?" My birth giver pondered.

" He looked like he could be useful." I replied, cool headed, the pain wouldn't get to me.

" You say that but you better not be getting any ideas. You know you don't need friends, and you definitely don't need to be sleeping around like a faggot." She seethed.

"Of course not mother."

"If you say so Illumi. That'll be all for today, you can come down now."

I pulled myself up, slipping a long pin from my hair. Picking the lock of the cuffs, my hands slipped out as I dropped to the cold floor.
Wiping blood from the lacerations strewn about my back, I began heading back upstairs after my mother.

After about 5 minutes of walking I had made it all the way to my room. I stepped in, locking the door behind me, and began towards the bathroom to clean my wound.

"Oh hi there~" a familiar voice chimed from the window beside me.

I startled, dropping the disinfectant wipe from my back.
"How the hell did you get here?" I seethed through my teeth, my father would kill him if he saw him.

"Simple, I just walked here, what else would I have done?" He spoke.
" This place is surrounded by skilled guards- oh never mind- why are you here?"
"To see you of course~"
I stared at him blankly.
" And there's been an attack of some sort. I don't know if it's training or if it's actually happening but I don't wanna accidently kill one of your butlers sooo-" I cut him off.
" Yeah yeah I get it, there should be rescue training happening right now but you shouldn't have run into any opponents, have you?"
" A couple yeah, I take it I shouldn't have?"
" Not from what I know... Shit, go do your best to take care of it, Ill go tell my father." I replied.
" Awww, kicking me out so soon? How cruel, but your wish is my command." With that he dropped from the window. Soon after I heard loud screams, gunshots and the likes.
" If he messes up those gardens I swear- anyways?" I left my room and started towards my father's, only stopping when my hand came into contact with the large, seemingly evil door that blocked of his room.

"Permission to enter?" I asked him through the door.
"Of course Illumi." I heard him respond through the door.
I pushed on the heavy door while turning the know and stepped in, shutting it with a large thud behind me.
"What is it?" He asked in a fake sickly sweet tone.
"There's been a breach of some kind. The recruit I brought in is currently fighting them off."
" What! Who could have the strength to get in without being killed by the dogs, and how in the hell can one newby fight them all off?"
"Don't underestimate Hisoka, and I have no clue who it is."
Then, from outside sounded the loudest scream I had ever heard.

Short chapter I know,Im in class and have to get to that seeing as Ive done no work yet, also the infrequent updates and lack of editing are because between school, taking care of my dad, working out and preparing for a nation wide math contest Ive been a little busy so Im really sorry!
