The world of Kyozan has many different ecosystems, each of these ecosystems are made by certain gods. These gods can control these ecosystems, weather, natural disasters, etc. The stronger gods can make multiple ecosystems, but doing this just puts more stress on them, most gods who do this leave the ecosystem to have the same weather every single day. There's a nameless god that sits higher than the rest, he is the strongest, and nobody knows what he looks like. All the gods have a magic called: 'Tanashi's Grace' commonly called god magic, god magic isn't necessarily special, it's the only thing that can kill gods, aside from Haichi. Nekuro. Nekuro is the God who created all monsters, Nekuro made these monsters with the intent of destroying all the other god's creations, because they kept pressuring him to make something. The monsters tortured the mortals for years, slaughtering them, destroying their homes... and they had no way to fight back... until one of the gods stepped up.

Rakku was sixth in power of the gods, she had enough power to create all of the mortal races, and she was still energetic enough to spend time with all the other gods, none of the gods went a day without seeing her. (Except for the god in charge of course.) She was normally generous and energetic, until Nekuro made the monsters. But Nekuro was above her in power so she couldn't kill him, it drove her to insanity and she went down to the mortal world murdering monsters daily, until the god in charge had to stop her by sending one of the more powerful gods to force her back to have a verbal meeting. She had a breakdown and went off on him, demanding justice for the mortals, threatening to go on a rampage on the gods. Surprisingly he listened, and gave all mortals a magic called Haichi, given to them at birth to defend against the monsters. Then Rakku used her power to make all mortals harbor hate for monsters. However this somewhat backfired on her, because she created the mortals, but the hybrids aren't her creations.. so they aren't born to hate monsters.
