"You explain it. Last night I was watching Nine-O. A commercial breaks comes on and I'm like. 'I bet it's that phone commercial' and sure enough, it's that guy and the girl with the bench, he field to Paris, and he files back. They take a picture" Bonnie says rambling.

"Oh come on. That commercials a constant loop. It's just a coincidence" I say while setting down place Mat's on the table of Elena's kitchen.

"Fine. Well, how about this? Today, I'm obsessed with numbers. Three numbers. I keep seeing 8, 14 and 22. How weird is that?" I did notice that she was scribing that in her notebook during class.

"Maybe we should play the lottery" Elena says in a joking manner. Bonnie narrows her eyes and I laugh.

"Have you talked to your grams?" I ask Bonnie. "She's just gonna say it's because I'm a witch. I don't wanna be a witch. Do you wanna be a witch?" She whines.

"I don't wanna be a witch" Elena says in agreement.

"And putting it in a nice bowl isn't fooling anyone" Bonnie says referring to Elena who is dumping ravioli in a green bowl.

Elena chuckles. "Okay serving spoons. Where are the serving spoons?" Elena asks her self as she turns around and goes to the cupboards.

"Middle Drawer on the left" Bonnie states. Elena goes for it a pulls out a wooden serving spoon. I widen my eyes a bit in shock. "Okay, so you've been in this kitchen like a thousand times" Elena says finding an explanation.

"Yeah, that's it" Bonnie says unconvincingly. The doorbell rings and Elena put down the spoon. "Okay he's here. Don't be nervous, just be your normal loving self's" Elena says to us, clasping her hands in excitement.

Elena goes to attend the door and Bonnie looks down on the kitchen island. "Birthday candles" She whispers and opened the drawer. I peer in and see a pack of candle. "Huh" Bonnie says surprise. "I'm gonna need a lot of beers after this" I mutter and Bonnie laughs.

...............

This dinner is going smoothly. If smoothly meant eating in total silence.

Stefan sits at the base, Bonnie and me on his left and Elena on his right. We all look up from our meals and smile awkwardly at each other.

"So did Tanner give you a hard time today?" Elena asks Stefan, breaking the silence. While we were at practice, Stefan was playing football with the team, surprisingly Tanner let him in.

"Well, he let me in the team. So I must have done something right" Stefan answered. Elena chuckled and look at me and Bonnie.

"You two should have seen him. Tyler threw a ball at him and-" "Yeah I heard" Bonnie says cutting her off. Elena's smile is whipped clean as Bonnie looks back down at her food.

"Why don't you tell Stefan about your family?" Elena suggest to Bonnie. She stares at her, a bit angry for bringing that up. "Um, divorced. No mom. Live with my dad" Bonnie says simply.

"No about the witches" At this Stefan turns to Elena with intrigue. "Bonnie's family has a linage of witches. It's really cool" Elena continues pressing the matter.

"Cool isn't the word I'd use"

"Well its certainly interesting. I'm not to versed, but I do know that there's a history of Celtic druids that migrated in the 1800's"

"My family came by way of Salem"

"Really?" Bonnie nods slightly.

"Salem Witches?"
