Degradation [BNHA - BAKUGO]

Chapter 2

"Sorry, but we're in different leagues." Todoroki's voice came through the speakers, Tahlia watching his battle training session with rapt focus. She nearly drooled. 

I wish he would talk to me like that.

Tahlia quickly recollected herself and straightened her back, fitting her usual hardass expression onto her face as her turn rolled around. She nodded at her partner, a girl named Tsuyu Asui, as they left the waiting area along with the pair they were versing. 

Tahlia gave them each a glance. She remembered their names as Kirishima and Sero and their quirks from the quirk apprehension tests from yesterday. They both had pretty useful abilities, but as long as the pipes in the building they were going to were still functional, this would be an easy sweep for her. All her and Tsuyu needed to do was find the weapon. 

Her Tsu didn't speak until they separated from the boys and got to their starting position. 

Tahlia held out a hand, "Asui, right?"

"You can call me Tsu." The short girl took the outreached hand and gave it a firm shake.

"Alright, call me Tahlia then." She cracked her knuckled and stretched out her shoulders. "Whats your quirk, Tsu?"

"I have frog-based abilities, what's yours?"

A cat-like grin stretched across Tahlia's face. She momentarily ignored Tsu's question to ask a follow up, "So you're good at swimming?"

"Of course I am."

"This'll be a breeze then." 

The signal to begin sounded and Tahlia cracked her neck and gave her arms a shake before holding them out, fingers spread and flexed. 

The pipes burst and the building flooded. 

In the changing room afterwards, Tahlia's classmates warily began talking to her thanks to Tsu including her into a conversation between her, Ashido, and Uraraka. The girls complimented Tahlia on her quirk as she kept her head in her locker while changing to hide her flushing cheeks––the result of both the kind words and the changing females surrounding her. She stuck with that group as they headed back to the classroom to await dismissal. 

Soon enough, the bell rang and the students began to file out. 

Accidentally, Tahlia found herself falling in step behind the angry blonde. The two drifted down the stairs to the main entrance, not really acknowledging each other until Bakugo snapped. "Who the fuck do you think you're following you ugly fuck?"

Tahlia's face flushed red.
