Whitney
After about a month living next door to Michael has been nothing but awkwardness. Whenever I see him check the mail or mow his lawn I just can't help but to peak out my window. Kevin has been working nonstop for the last few weeks but he took time off to spend time with me
"You know my parents are coming by this weekend" Kevin informed me while I was moisturizing my face
"You're telling me this why Kevin?" I turn my back toward him
His family hates me because he didn't marry a female the same skin tone as him. My family and his don't get along because of that reason
"I just wanted to remind you babe" he opens the blankets to get underneath them
I finished my night routine and climbed into bed next to him "you know your family hates me Kevin so you telling me that they're coming seems rude"
"They don't hate you, stop saying that" he cuddled up next to me "you just think that for some weird reason"
"Weird? Kevin your mother said it"
He sighed and looked at me "she didn't mean it, you two just got into a heated argument over nonsense"
"Kevin it wasn't nonsense. She said she "liked" me but wish I were white. That's nonsense to you babe? Because if it is I don't think we could be married anymore" I raised my eyebrows
"No no that's not what I meant Whitney. You never told me she said that" he looks into my eyes
"I did tell you. You just don't like me telling you about your racist mother" I rolled my eyes
Out of nowhere I hear Kevin's pager peep a few times. I never can have him a moment alone with him. But we're newlyweds right?
He gets up and looks back at me "I'll be back. Can you close the balcony shades please?"
He walks out and I get up to close the shades but before I do I noticed Michael sitting on his balcony alone. I hear soft mellow R&B music and see him with a drawing pad on his lap
I opened the balcony door and stepped foot outside to make my presence known "beautiful night huh?"
He looked across at me and smiled "sure is" While sketching on his drawing pad he took a sip of wine "long time no see babe"
"Babe? I'm not your babe Michael" I folded my arms nonchalantly
"But you want to be, don't you?" He chuckles to himself and I don't say anything "it's okay, you don't have to answer because I already know you do"
No way he's that confident in his answer. How does he know if I really want to be his girl?
"Michael come on now. Stop being so big headed" I laughed
I seen my room light cut on and that Kevin was back in the room. I'm not gonna lie, I was kind of enjoying Michael's company rather than my own husbands
Kevin came out and hugged me from the back "hey Michael, how are you?"
Michael seemed unbothered at the sight of Kevin hugging me "Hi Kev, I'm pretty cool. Enjoy the night air that's all"
"Lovely night huh? You alone tonight?"
I nudge Kevin and whisper "babe that's none of your business"
Michael laughed a little "it's fine. Ugh no actually, I have a lady over"
A lady? After he just called me his babe? I was jealous to say the least
"Is she a friend?" I asked trying not to sound stubborn or jealous
"You could say that" he chuckles. All of a sudden I seen his balcony door swing open and it was his daughter Renée "hey, what're you doing up princess?"
He's so sweet, he's such a cute father. I wish Kevin would give me a child
"You didn't come in and say Goodnight" she sits on his lap
"Oh I'm sorry. Say hi to the Costner's" he points to me and Kevin
"Hi" she waved across to us "are you guys friends of my daddy?"
"You can say that" I smirked faintly
It's a shame that I was thinking about how Michael and I would be as a couple. I would love to be more than his friend. Wait what am I saying...
Michael
Renée and I went into the house and went into the kitchen to eat a little something before bed
"You did a great job daddy. This looks just like me" Renée smiled at the drawing I made for her "thank you"
"You're so welcome princess" I kiss her forehead "how's your brother?"
She took a bite of her pizza "he's been okay. He was going to come but he made a few new friends so he's hanging out with them"
Ace has been hanging around the wrong crowd according to Nikki. I try to find time to spend time with my children but Nicole really doesn't want them to come over because she thinks I have females running through the house
"I know he is" I take a sip of water "I'm happy you decided to come over nugget"
She smiles as she took another bite of her pizza "I'm happy too daddy" she said with her mouth full "mommy thinks you have girls in here"
"I know she does" I put her plate in the sink "come on time for bed nugget"
"Why can't I stay up with you?" She pouted
"You have school in the morning. Come on" I pick her up and carry her upstairs into her room. I place her in the bed and tucked her in tightly "you comfortable?"
She nods her head "yes"
I kissed her forehead and turned off her room light "good night princess"
"Wait daddy before you go, can I ask you something?" She says up in the bed
I walk over to her bed and kneeled down "of course"
"I know you and mommy aren't getting back together but are you going to get married again?"
Honestly I haven't even thought about that. Marriage is expensive and full of aggravation
"Umm I don't know sweetie, but I can tell you that I won't be getting married any time soon, okay?"
"Okay daddy" she leaned over to hug me then places a kiss on my cheek "I love you"
"I love you more" I stood up once again and shut her room door, not completely because she doesn't like that
After about an hour of Renée being sleep, I go into my office and go on my computer to check the cameras I set up in Whitney's house without her or Kevin knowing. The cameras are stored in small areas and I set them up while they both were working one night
As I checked the cameras I looked at the live footage of their bedroom and seen that they were having sex. Whitney of course was doing all the work and from the sound and looks of things she wasn't too happy about it
Kevin was the only one getting satisfaction from the pleasure. I know for a fact she misses what me in bed. How can't she? Her husband is terrible and I don't know why she's keeping up this facade for him
I turned off my computer because this was just pitiful. I should surprise Whitney tomorrow. She deserves it after all that
