THIRTY-FIVE

I woke up having one of those days.

When I told Changkyun he immediately came over and made me food. I wasn't in the mood to eat and he didn't pressure me too. He cuddled me and said nothing at we stare at the blank TV screen.

When I have moods like this there isn't really anything anyone can say to pull me out. However, just being there is more than enough.

He kisses my cheek, I smile a bit.

When we started to mess around I never seen it being anything serious. Yet here we are wrapped in each other's warmth.

I turn around so that I'm facing him.

Me: Thank you.
Changkyun: You don't have to thank me, I'll always be here for you baby.

I lied, maybe some words can help.

Mahogany and I walk around the mall aimlessly. Hul gave me his credit card this morning to buy a graduation outfit and I haven't found anything yet.

Mahogany: I'm going to miss you while you're gone traveling.

Mahogany and Kihyun will be going to the same college. Kihyun pursuing his business degree, Mahogany pursuing art.

Me: I'll miss you too, I'll send those little corny postcards you like.
Mahogany: And keychains!

I giggle.

Me: Keep an eye on my brother for me, he's clumsy sometimes.
Mahogany: Of course. I'll make sure Wonho and Shownu are fine as well.
Me: Ah yes, those dorks.

"HURRY UP THE MOVIE IS STARTING!"

Now why is he acting like we haven't watched the princess and the frog a thousand times already? Kihyun decided to have a movie night with just he and I.

Halfway into the movie he sighs.

Uh oh, he's about to give me a talk.

Kihyun: Bri.

See?

Kihyun: I hope you two have fun traveling but be careful. Changkyun will be there with you of course but things happen. My only sister and bestfriend is going to be gone for who knows how long, I'll miss you two.

I smile.

Me: I'll miss you too, I'll take good care of your bestfriend.
Kihyun: How kind of you.

The rest of the night we spend laughing and talking. We haven't had a night like this in, well, forever. We get on each other's last nerves and may fight a lot but at the end of the day we're still family.

Our parents end up joining us throughout the night. Seeing Hul make my mom laugh and blush is always funny to me, her happiness is all that matters.

Moments like this makes me forget about any type of anxiety or depression I feel towards life.

With these people I can get through anything.
