A sigh leaves my lips as I attempt to jog, I hate gym. Like why is gym even a thing? My gym coach's eyes stay trained on me. It's understandable, last time I darted off the field and hid.

A presence runs on the side of me, I almost trip once I see who it is but I regain my composure. Hyungwon chuckles once he notices my slip up.

Hyungwon: Hi.
Me: Hi.

We stop jogging and just begin to walk. Neither one of us say anything, just enjoying the silence.

Hyungwon: What I asked wasn't just the liquor or peer pressure talking either, I really do want to take you to homecoming.

Ah, I forgot all about that. The day after our little sleepover I practically slept that whole day.

Me: Why me?
Hyungwon: Why not you?

Smart ass.

Hyungwon: When I told Kihyun I had a crush on you I thought he'd lecture me.
Me: You what?

He smirks.

Hyungwon: He was actually pretty supportive.

If he knew the things I did with his other friend he wouldn't be so supportive, speaking of that..

Me: You're friends with Changkyun too right?
Hyungwon: Kind of. Jooheon and Kihyun knows him more though, I just met him.

Interesting.

Hyungwon: Why?
Me: No reason.

The coach blows his whistle signaling the end of the period. Hyungwon pushes his hair out his face before smiling down at me.

Hyungwon: See you around.
Me: See ya'.

Lunch time rolls around and I eat everything in sight. Mahogany watches in horror as I eat my ham sandwich in practically one bite.

Mahogany: What's wrong?

I shove a spoonful of crushed pineapples in my mouth.

Me: Nothing is wrong, why do you ask?
Mahogany: Whenever you're anxious you eat, like a lot and the things you eat don't make sense.
Me: This makes sense!
Mahogany: A ham sandwich, crushed pineapples, pudding, chips and fries does not make sense.

I roll my eyes before sighing.

Me: Homecoming.
Mahogany: Oh yeah with pretty boy.
Me: Are you going?

Now it's her turn to shove unnecessary food into her mouth.

Me: Did Kihyun not ask you?
Mahogany: Why would he?

I roll my eyes, again.

Me: We seen the looks at the sleepover, he likes you, you like him. Duh!
Mahogany: He didn't ask.

I glance over at his lunch table before looking back at her. She's distracted with her phone, I take the opportunity to go over to Kihyun. Jooheon is the first person to say hi to me, like always.

Me: Big brother.

Everyone chokes on their food, Kihyun included. He looks at me with wide eyes before pointing to himself, I force a tight smile onto my face before nodding.

Yes you idiot, who the hell else would I be talking to?

Kihyun: Um, yeah?
Me: Who are you taking to homecoming?
Kihyun: I'm not sure yet.

He raises an eyebrow.

Me: Well I know someone who wants to go with you.
Kihyun: Who?

I point over to Mahogany, as soon as she makes eye contact with him she practically slams her head down on the table. I look back at Kihyun whose smiling at the shy girl.

Jooheon: You two seem to like each other, go ask.
Kihyun: I'll ask her when Changkyun asks Violet.

Who the fuck is Violet?

I look at Changkyun and he laughs at Kihyun, a small smile appears on his face.

Changkyun: I plan to ask her next period, so go ask your girl now.
Jooheon: Violet is sitting over there, you should ask her now too.

I look over to where Jooheon is pointing and frown. She's laughing with a bunch of friends, her dimples being just as deep as Jooheon's. Her short purple hair is styled into a pixie cut framing her flawless face. Little freckles make their home along her cheeks.

I puff out my cheeks. Changkyun and Kihyun argue about who's going to go first and I just walk away. Mahogany calls me every word in the book as I sit back down. She pauses her rant once she sees my face.

Me: What kind of person has the same hair color as their name? Tacky.

Her face fills with amusement.

Mahogany: Who Violet?
Me: Oh now you know Violet too all of a sudden?

She giggles.

Mahogany: She's the student body president, how don't you know?
Me: Because I don't care.

I narrow my eyes at the gumdrop fairy sitting a few tables over.

Seems like you care.
