Thank you @abztabz07 for requesting!
♥️♥️♥️It started out as a small thing. Dream didn't like his freckles. So he covered them up. But as time went on he started noticing things, and covered them up. Until he couldn't go on without thinking about surgery or makeup.
"Dream! You promised you'd turn on face cam today."
George teased. Dream frowned and looked away with spite.
"Yeah... I did."
Dream sighed. He clicked on face cam and stared at George's face. He could tell George was obviously uncomfortable.
"Didn't you say you had freckles?"
George asked. Dream leaned back in his chair.
"Yeah.. but I don't like them so I use foundation."
Dream explained. He looked up to see George playing with a sharpie.
"Oh yeah... what happened to your green eyes?"
George chuckled nervously.
"Oh yeah... I got contacts."
Dream said.
"Oh yeah..?"
George mumbled.
"Hey, what's up?"
Dream asked.
"Oh... it's nothing, just a little cold."
George responded. They both sat together, the tension was obvious.
"Dream?"
"Yeah?"
George looked up from the sharpie.
"You look nothing like what you told me."
George stated, concern barely visible in his eyes. Dream blushed, and nervously crossed his legs.
"Yeah...? I dunno I guess I was just messing with you."
Dream said.
"Bu-But Sapnap showed me the photo of you two. Was that not you?"
George asked. Dream gritted his teeth. He knew he couldn't keep up with what he had going.
"Well yeah it was."
Dream responded.
"What happened?"
George asked.
"Look, I'm getting a little tired, I think I'm gonna head off."
Dream lied.
"Wait! Dream! Why?"
George asked.
"What do you mean? I barely got any sleep last night."
Dream chuckled.
"Why do you keep lying to me?"
George asked quietly. Dream looked up at George's face again. George was curled up in his chair, playing with the sharpie again.
"Wh-What? What are you talking about?"
Dream questioned.
"You said that your description was wrong, then told me that the person in the photo was you."
George argued. Dream sighed.
"George I haven't been completely honest..."
Dream muttered.
"I know that much."
George grumbled.
"I...I don't like how I look. I feel like when I do reveal my face, everyone's going to be disappointed. I don't feel like I look good enough."
Dream explained. George looked at his webcam with sympathy.
"Dream... you looked good enough. You look good enough."
George consoled, blush slowly creeping onto his face. Dream's eyes widened.
"What?"
Dream said.
"Who cares if nobody else likes how you look. I like how you look, you're good enough. For me at least."
George mumbled the last part. Dream felt his face heat up.
"But..."
Dream tried arguing but couldn't think of anything.
"I-I'm sorry... what I meant to say is, you don't need to look good to accept you. You don't need to look good to be loved. In my honest opinion, you're way prettier than I could ever look."
George stuttered. Dream smiled.
"What? You'd the most beautiful person I've ever seen."
Dream blurted. George smiled but turned away from the webcam, he face severely rosy.
"Thanks."
He mumbled.
"I'll see you tomorrow."
Dream said nervously.
"Bye."
George responded. Dream disconnected from the call and walked towards his bathroom. He removed his contact lenses, and wiped off the foundation. He looked at himself for a while. There were a few things he didn't like, but he didn't feel like he needed to fix anything anymore. He tossed the contacts, makeup, and hair dye into his garbage bin and fell asleep.A/N: YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL! You may not believe it now. You may not believe it ever. But all the little scars, bumps, splotches and issues you may have with yourself may be beautiful to someone else. You might not ever learn to love yourself, but just know you don't need to be pretty to be loved. You just need to be a person who knows how to treat other people.
