There they both stood in the grand open doorway, suitcases at their feet and thrilled smiles plastered across their young faces. Across from them was a darker presence of a mother who was growing increasingly concerned with the sight in front of her. She wanted Sibyl to marry but not this early in her life; maybe after a couple years of knowing a person would be better suited.

Sibyl's wide adoring blue eyes beamed over her mother, her own joyful expression slipping off her face as she saw the amount of worry in her mothers eyes. Tewkesbury swallowed nervously as the thoughts of Sibyl mother scolding them both ran through his mind. He moved his focus onto Sibyl who took a weary step forward towards the elder lady.

Sibyl knowing this was to be private matter between her mother and herself tilted her head back at Tewkesbury, eyes low and a small pleading smile on her lips. Politely and silently asking him to leave them to either talk this out calmly or have a screaming match, which ever way this is destined to go.

Tewkesbury gave a shy smile back and dipped his head to Sibyl's mother before exiting the building making his way to the carriage with only pure curiosity filling his mind.

Once Tewkesbury was finally out of range, Florence Lloyd's worried gaze turned scolding as she took a step towards her daughter. Sibyl tucked her arms behind her back as she tried to remain calm and seem mature.

"Sibyl Lloyd you better have a good explanation for the scene which was before me" Her mother said eye's widening as she gestured to the suitcase behind them.

"I am going back to London with Sir Tewkesbury. He's..." Sibyl paused allowing her top teeth to graze over her bottom lip, doubting whether the next sentence should truly be spoken. Florence raised an eyebrow expectantly as she watched a small blush bloom on Sibyl's cheeks.

"Sibyl?" She questioned commandingly. This sudden sound made Sibyl flinch back slightly as her aster eyes focused back into the situation. The blush grew as her lips shakily parted with nerves and butterflies.

"Mother, he's courting me" the words fell from her lip effortlessly as more butterflies swirled in her stomach. Her mother stood frozen for a moment seeming to disconnect from her own presence. Sibyl's own mind wandered to the feeling of Tewkesbury fingers between strands of her hair and subconsciously her hand move up to touch the spot where his hand had rested. The fondness and adoration with which he had looked at her with last night just made her skin warm.

"Tewkesbury is he... someone which you can.." Florence stumbled trying to find the perfect words to fit her sentence. Although Sibyl understood exactly what she was trying to portray.

"Yes" Sibyl said softly the words melting off her lips with more conviction then she intended as the blush on her cheek deepened and a small light laugh echoed from her mother's lips.

"Very well." Her mother said and moved around Sibyl to the trunks in which Sibyl had fitted all the belongs she would need. Her mother then swiftly instructed one of the staff to have them placed in the carriage.

"Darling, remember that you only have a select few chances to make a concrete standing point for a wife so please be wise" she then shared her words of wisdom with the young girl who was internally rolling her eyes. Sibyl nodded and gave her mother a beaming smile as thanks for her 'advice' and permission to attend this unknown adventure with Tewkesbury which was to her mother just London.

Sibyl leaned in and gave Florence a kiss on the cheek which was a surprise to them both. This was as they didn't have the most affectionate mother-daughter relationship many others had. Sibyl was always closer to her Father but now she was learning to open herself to her mother as well.
