The Truth

"Finally some food! I've been starving!" Panther shouted, devouring the curry.

"Joker, you should eat before it gets cold." Queen said.

"I-I'm not hungry." He replied looking away from the food.

"Joker, we know you're upset about Ryuji, but you need to keep your stamina up if you want to be able to stand a chance." Yusuke said, getting up to wash his own dish."

"Maybe I need some sleep. All these feelings have been messing me up." 

"Alright. Sleep well, Joker." Oracle said, finishing her food.

They watched as the leader of the Phantom Thieves went up the stairs.

"I'll talk to him." Mona volunteered following him.

Mona went of the stairs to see Joker lying down on the bed staring at the sky.

"Hey... are you alright?"

"To be honest, no. I'm not okay Mona. Seeing my best friend, the first friend I met, the person I fell in love with, act like this. His distorted desires were caused by so many things that make no sense to me. I was there for him and yet he kept this all bottled up. The day after I beat the shit out of Ryuji, I started to do some self-reflection. Why did I do all this bullshit, just to get his attention? I loved him, but then he started to like someone else. Was it wrong for me to interfere with his relationship with Mishima? I-I was the one who told Mishima to break up with him so he could be mine."

Akira started to have flashbacks of telling Mishima to break up with him.

~~Start of flashbacks~~

It was right after Mishima had taken Ryuji to the nurse's office, Akira came in to see him.

"What do you want? Haven't you hurt him enough?" Mishima asked not looking at him.

"Mishima, is this really a relationship you want to be in? Did you force yourself into this relationship or did you willingly go into this relationship?" Akira questioned, pushing is glasses up.

"What do you mean?" He asked looking at Akira.

"Do you reallllllly love Ryuji or was it out of desperation of lust?"

"I do love him! I don't get what you're going at right now."

"Mishima, I think you should break up with Ryuji."

"Why? So you can be with him and just hurt him even more?"

"Think about it Mishima. I know you liked Shiho more than him. You showed true feeling for her everyday she was here. You two had each other to help ease the pain Kamoshida did to you two. That's true love, if I've ever seen it."

"I-"

"Take some time to self reflect about it. I'll be waiting near his dorm to confess to him. I'll be going somewhere he knows how to get to for me."

Mishima looked back at Ryuji with sad eyes as Akira left the room with a smirk on his face.

~~End of Flashback~~

Akira started to have tears coming down his face as he felt heartbroken on the act he done to them.

"I-I *gasp* was the one who took those two apart. I was the main cause of this all happening. I should be the one who should be suffering, not him. I should be the one-"

"Joker! Get ahold of yourself! None of this your fault. You need to understand that Ryuji still loves you no matter what. He's your best friend, is he not? I even remember he said that when you beat the crap of him that very same day. We didn't come hear because it was another job like the others, but to save our and teammate. Now, are you going to sit there and cry or are you going to stand up and fight for what you believe in?"

"You did quite an impressive speech for just being a cat," He said wiping his tears away, "But you are right. I should be up and about trying to save him. If I was in his place, I would do the same thing. He's done so much for the team and it's time we did something for him. I want to see his real smile again and love him with all my heart."

"Hahahahahaha! What a pitiful speech you got there."

Mona and Joker looked at the direction of the source to see Ryuji walking down as if he was walking down glass steps.

"Ryuji! We're going to steal your heart and make your distorted desires disappear!" Akira shouted pointing at him.

"And how exactly are you going to do that? You have no way of reaching the real Ryuji so your efforts are futile. I will make you suffer until the very end of your pitiful existence. You mere insects will not stand against me. You'll see how I felt being a complete moron, every moment of my life."

Ryuji snapped his fingers and disappeared into thin air.

"I'll be waiting for you Joker. I'll show you no mercy." Ryuji said.

"It looks like we're going to have to figure out way to get back into the real world." Mona said.

"Don't we have the Meta-Nav?" Joker questioned.

"Oh right, but I'm not sure if it works. We should head back to the others so we can share the information we just got."

"Yes, I also think we should infiltrate the palace as well to figure out where the treasure is first before sending out the calling cards." 

"Right, but before that, do you need some rest? We can wait on this if you're tired."

"I think I will actually take that opportunity to get some sleep. I've been through so much shit that it's been hard to take in."

"Alright, I'll let you get some sleep."

Joker nodded and Mona headed downstairs. Joker went to his bed and got under the covers.

"I never thought I would see Ryuji's train of thought ever in my life. I should have tried to prevent these feeling so he didn't end up like this, but it seems I was too late in the end. All I can do now is try to make it up to him so this won't happen again. Ever. Ryuji, I will save you. No matter what it takes. Our love will be ours. Forever."

Akira felt sleepy and drifted to sleep.
