'What? You called my father?' Sia cried out in shock.Silvi grimaced in guilt. 'I didn't know what else to do. You were missing, and I was so damn scared. I informed him as soon as you were found, but he had already left by then.'
Prominent lines appeared on Sia's forehead. She had fervently prayed for her father's protective presence yesterday. But now she didn't want to anguish him. He could never accept even the idea of boys talking to his daughter. Knowing that a rogue misbehaved with her would crush him.
Moreover, he would fuss about her safety now more than ever. But most of all, she feared his temper. He would strangle the culprits with his bare hands.
'You didn't tell him that a local man tried to misbehave with me, did you?' she asked, alarmed.
'Actually,' Silvi started guiltily and Sia slumped her head on the pillow. 'I wasn't thinking straight then. He called me right after when Vamika Di had told me about the incident. And I blurted out everything to him.'
Sia sighed. He wouldn't leave a single stone unturned until he executed the rogue. In a way, it could be a blessing in disguise. She was too clueless about the legal proceedings. And every cell in her body wanted to see the ba****** behind bars. She needed her father to take charge.

Sia slowly walked out of the bathroom after changing into a fresh set of kurti and patiala that Silvi had brought with her. She had talked to her father over the phone. It would still take him another hour to reach.
She sat back on the bed, and her eyes wandered to the door for the umpteenth time.
'Are you waiting for someone?' Silvi asked teasingly.
'No. Not really.' Sia denied in a haste, pushing a tendril behind her ear.
'O my God! Look at you blushing!' Silvi giggled. 'You are dying to see him! Fine, I will tell you. I talked to Rahul before leaving from college. Your Romeo had come early morning to see you. But you were sleeping then, I think. He will come again later with Rahul and Sid in the afternoon.'
Sia's brows knit in confusion, 'Romeo?'
'Akshay! Who else?'
The grimace on Sia's face told Silvi she had miscalculated completely.
Sia shrugged in pretend nonchalance, 'Well, I was wondering where is Raghav...'
Silvi frowned. 'He left when I came in the morning. You were still sleeping like a log.'
'Did he tell you where was he going or when he was coming back?'
Silvi smirked. 'No. But since when do you fret about his whereabouts like his wife?'
'What! No! I am not fretting! I was - I was only wondering. In general.' Sia defended, avoiding to look at her suspicious eyes.
'You were?' Silvi raised her brows. 'And now I can see that you have, in general, decided to turn into a full-blown red tomato.'
A male voice reverberated in the corridor and reached them through the half-opened door.
Sia took a subconscious sharp breath, in preparation for his arrival. But he didn't enter. He seemed to be talking on phone with someone.
'Calm down! Don't let yourself die in anticipation.'
Sia exhaled an humiliated breath out. Like always, Silvi had accurately guessed her state of mind. Why were her features so freaking transparent!
