Shuichi and Kiibo set their phones aside, getting rid of anything that would distract them from their upcoming meeting with Ryoma. It surely wouldn't take the tennis pro long to arrive to Shuichi's dorm.

The two had been together for the past few hours, as per usual. Kiibo had his head on Shuichi's shoulder, and the detective was slowly running a hand through the robot's hair.

"Do you think this will work?" Shuichi asks Kiibo.

Kiibo nods.
"Yes, I do. Hopefully it does."

"Well, as you said, you are a rather social robot," Shuichi tells him.
"Plus, you're really comforting to have around, so I'm sure Ryoma won't have any problems."

The robot smiles lightly, snuggling into the detective a slight bit more. In response, Shuichi wraps his right arm around Kiibo's waist, as he was using his left hand to stroke Kiibo's hair.

"I love you, Kiibo," Shuichi says while lightly kissing Kiibo's forehead.

"I love you too, Shuichi," Kiibo replies.

"Seriously, how is your hair so soft?" asks Shuichi.
"Your entire body is made out of metal..."

Kiibo shrugs.
"I'll never know how the professor created me so perfectly. Regardless, I'm sure you're satisfied with the end product."

"Yeah, I am," replies the detective.

"I'm glad!" says Kiibo with a smile.
He presses a kiss to Shuichi's cheek, and the detective smiles.

A couple seconds later, a knock sounds at the door. Both Shuichi and Kiibo groan.

"I don't want to get up..."
"I don't either, but I'll get up if you want me to, Shu."
"Alright, Kiibo. You do that."

The robot stands up, walking to the door and opening it.
"Hello, Hoshi-kun!" he says.

"Hey, Kiibo," replies Ryoma.
"I'm assuming I can come in, right?"

Kiibo nods.
"Yes, of course. Come in, Hoshi-kun."

The short tennis pro follows the robot into Shuichi's room. The detective nods a hello, acknowledging Ryoma's presence.

Kiibo sits back down next to Shuichi, returning to the position he was in before Ryoma had knocked on the door. Kiibo didn't know why, but he always had to be touching Shuichi somehow, no matter where they were. I guess you could say that the robot has become a lot more comfortable with PDA.

"How are you doing?" Shuichi asks Ryoma.

Ryoma shrugs.
"I guess I'm okay. How about you two?"

"I'm great!" Kiibo replies with a smile.
"And so is Shuichi!"

"Uh, yeah," Shuichi says with a nod.
"I'm fine."

Ryoma just stands there in silence. He was too socially inexperienced to know what to say next.

"So, Hoshi-kun, what would you like to talk about?" Kiibo asks.

"I... don't know"

"You're so talkative with Gonta," Shuichi points out.
"I really don't get how you're so bad a socializing with pretty much anyone else..."

"Gonta and I are best friends," Ryoma says.
"I'm not really as close to anyone else than how close I am with him. Kirumi could be a contender, but then again, we're not quite best-friend status."

"Well, maybe you could use your social skills you seemingly pluck out of nowhere to talk to us!" Kiibo suggests.
"We're your friends, right?"

The tennis pro nods.
"Yes, we are friends. I'm just... not used to talking to people. I spent a good chunk of my life in juvie. It'd probably be prison if I were any older than fourteen."

"Did you have any social skills before then?" Shuchi asks.

"No, not really," Ryoma answers.

"You seem to like talking about Gokuhara-kun, Hoshi-kun. How about you talk about him?"
Kiibo looks at Ryoma hopefully.

"But what would I talk about?" asks Ryoma.
"I haven't seen Gonta for a little while."

"Well, how about you talk about what you two did the last time you were together? What do you think, Kiibo? Does that sound like a good idea?"

The robot nods.
"Yes, it does! What do you think, Hoshi-kun?"

"Okay, I guess," Ryoma says.
"Last time Gonta and I hung out, he talked to me about a dragonfly he caught. It was a rather large dragonfly, at that. He kept in his bug catcher for a few minutes before releasing it again. Then he went to hang out with Momota."

"Dragonflies are pretty cool," Shuichi comments.
"I'm not the biggest fan of insects, but those are an exception."

"It'd be fun to be a dragonfly!" Kiibo adds.
"Can you imagine a robot dragonfly?"

Shuichi chuckles.
"You'd make an adorable robot dragonfly, Kiibo. Well, to be fair, you'd make an adorable robot anything. I mean, with your cute antics, you would rock being any creature."

"Aww, Shu!" Kiibo says with a giggle.
"I'm really happy you think so!"

"I have a question for the two of you. Do you think a robot dragonfly would be the same size as a normal dragonfly, or would it be slightly larger?"

"I'm thinking it'd be larger, since creating such a small machine would be hard," Shuichi answers.

Kiibo nods.
"Mm-hm! I do also!"

"Hm, interesting," says Ryoma.
"Maybe I should talk to Gonta about it later."

"That's a good idea," Shuichi tells him.

"I think Gokuhara-kun would enjoy that conversation," Kiibo adds.

Ryoma nods.
"Alright, that sounds good. Welp, I'm going to go find Gonta and talk about that while it's still on my mind."

"Goodbye, Hoshi-kun!" Kiibo says.

Shuichi waves goodbye, and Ryoma leaves the dorm.

"I think that went well, Shuichi," says Kiibo.

"Yeah, I think so too," the detective replies.
"We got him to talk, even if it was only for a few moments. That's a good thing, nonetheless."

Kiibo nods.
"It is! Now, how about we stay a little longer before we leave again?"

Shuichi takes Kiibo's hand with a light smile.
"That sounds great, Kiibo. We can stay here as long as you'd like."

The robot chuckles, quickly pulling the detective into a kiss. It only lasted a few seconds, but it was short and sweet, just like Kiibo himself. And Shuichi loved it.
