Euphoria
Chapter 2
***

I was exhausted and slightly drowsy as I inched my way on the empty streets. All I remember was the door being kicked open, the wide and terrified eyes of my grandmother and the unknown shadow that appeared on the door. It was right before I was placed into deep sleep, the world surrounding me turning black.

Once I woke up, I was in the closet in her room with a blinding seal on the door. The only thing left was a trail of blood that I was now currently following.

Whimpering as the cold wind brushes my bare skin, I was unsure of where I was heading. I haven't been out of my grandmother's house ever since my mother brought me here. That was 6 years ago. I'm 13 now and those 6 years of my life, I was forced to stay in the custody of my grandmother, never stepping a foot outside.

The road I was following was paved with empty streets and broken down buildings. Glasses were shattered and the painting on the walls were chipped. The eerie sound of silence was almost painful to the ears as an ominous feeling hovered over me.

The trail of blood became more evident as I approached an abandoned building in an empty city that I couldn't recognize. It didn't matter to me. All I wanted was to reunite with my grandmother who was taken from my house while I was asleep. After all, she was the only surviving relative I had left.

Meekly pushing the broken down steel gates, I watch in horror as a man with ice-white hair and dark sunglasses held a creature who I knew was my grandmother. She was distorted in several ways, almost appearing as if she were turned into a cursed spirit. I knew it was her, I could sense it. I could sense her warmth despite her looking like a hideous beast.

My eyes were filled with tears as I started shivering in my place, terrified of what has happened. Terrified of what the man had done to her.

"Get away from her!" Was what I wanted to say but it came out as a breathless whimper.

"Stop it." My head told me to scream but I couldn't. It felt as though there was a hand that gripped my lungs, preventing me from making a sound as I continued to cry out in terror.

I reached out for her, eyes widening in horror as the white haired man sliced her head off with a knife that emitted of cursed energy. Blood. There was blood coming out of her neck as her head fell to the floor. There was blood that splattered down on the man's attire. The deep red liquid was the only thing I could focus on and the rest of the surroundings was a blur.

I screamed, watching him whirl his head around to the source of the sound and I was greeted by his blue eyes. He was shocked to see a little girl and not because there was another person, that's what his eyes said. He probably could've sensed my presence but he wasn't expecting it to be a child. I don't know. All I could focus on was his crystal blue eyes that I labelled as my grandma's murderer.

"Well that's not good." Gojo frowns, his voice bringing me back into reality. Bringing me back from reliving those horrible memories. "Whenever you see Gojo, all you should think about is 'Woah, he's so handsome! I want to marry him' or 'He's the coolest man on earth'."

I give him an unimpressed look as he steps back, unpinning me from the wall.

"We need to do something about that first." He declares, grinning stupidly at me.

"Do something about what?" I tilt my head, wondering what he means by that sentence. Didn't he just hear me say that we wont be able to work together if I can't even bare to look at him? "And pinning me to the wall just to make me look at you was completely unnecessary."

"About your view of me." He brings up his hand to show a peace sign, completely ignoring my statement. He continues to make an attempt to catch my eye but I successfully avoid it. "I mean, you don't even look at me."
