Charlotte was in her dressing-room. Waiting for the show to start.. She opened her bag and took out a file. She opened the envelope and held the papers in her hands. She was looking at her divorce that it'd been pardoned a few hours earlier. She was now officially divorced. She closed her eyes, and after a long time she sigh with relief..
Her marriage in recent times had become quite toxic. The fights with her husband were constant. He grumbled constantly because she didn't want to leave her job and she tried to explain to him that she didn't want to just stay at home since they had no children. She thought there was no reason. He traveled a lot, and she should be alone. He was the one who didn't want a child. And lately he had changed his mind. No, he didn't want kids. He wanted Charlotte at home, and in order to have what he wanted he would have a child with her. But Charlotte knew it and made sure she was taking birth control pills.
Her career was at its best. She knew that her marriage would not last much longer. She wasn't leaving that marriage, however toxic it was. No, she didn't love him anymore. no, he didn't love her either. She just stayed in this marriage because she couldn't imagine herself alone.. Becky went into the dressing-room and looked at her.
"What are you looking at so intently?"she asked, and Charlotte raised her head and looked at her friend.
"Ah, are you here, Bex? nice.. what are you doing?'Charlotte asked her, with a little smile on her lips.
"Yes, I did.. what are you looking at?"Becky asked her while she took off her coat .
"My marriage is officially over," she said, and Becky looked at her.. She approached and embraced her.. stroke her hair
"How do you feel?"she asked her when they broke the hug.
"Strange, very strange," said Charlotte, and closed the envelope with the divorce papers.
"Why?"Becky asked, and began to get ready for tonight.
"Because after all these years I'm going to be alone, and it scares me," Charlotte told her frankly as she started to get ready.
"Charlotte.. there's nothing wrong with being alone. You've been alone for so many months," Becky told her, and Charlotte looked at her in bewilderment.
"What do you mean?"he asked her
"That you have been living alone, Charlotte, for months. You left the house you lived in with your husband from the moment you filed for divorce. I don't understand why you're scared now," Becky told her as she buttoned up her shorts.
"Because now it's over. "Charlotte replied
"And it is better so. You will take your time, you will calm down, you will get new goals, new dreams and you do not know, maybe you will fall in love again and this time you will be more lucky" said Becky smiling
"You speak from the safe place.. you found Seth.. we're not all that lucky, Bex," Charlotte told her, heaving a sigh.
"Charlotte.. smile..I'm sure you'll find the one, the only one, remember Cinderella gone through hell to find her prince charming." Becky told her, and Charlotte smiled.
"Perhaps, but as you said, Now I must set new goals..my career is going well.. perhaps I ought to enjoy this, " said Charlotte, smiling.
"That's the spirit.. Come on, let's get some hair and makeup done, the show's about to start," Becky told her, and Charlotte nodded.. The two women got out from the dressing room they shared and headed to the place where they were doing hair and makeup.
At the same hour Roman was sitting in his locker room with his friend Seth. they, too, were preparing for the night which was about to begin.
"How are you this week?" asked Seth as he buttoned his vest.
