They reached the arena and got off the car. Roman opened the trunk and he and Seth took out their bags. They started to advance toward the entrance of the arena. They walked and talked and laughed. When a voice was heard behind them..

"Charlotte?"Charlotte turned and looked behind her. She couldn't believe her eyes. She blinked a couple of times, but she was not mistaken. A little further back was Jake, her ex-husband. Becky looked at Charlotte..

"Charlotte, are you all right?"Becky asked her.

"Yes.. don't worry, I'm fine.. let's go, " said Charlotte, ignoring him.. They continued to walk. Roman felt uneasy at the sight of Jake.. He followed them, calling Charlotte again. he ran and approached them..

"Charlotte," he said to her as he stood behind her. Charlotte turned and looked at him. She raised her eyebrows and looked annoyed.

"What are you doing here, Jake?" she asked him as she tucked her fingers into her suitcase .

"Can we talk for a moment?"he asked her, Charlotte shook her head.

"It can't be I have to get ready I have a match tonight" she told him but he persisted

"I won't delay you long just 10 minutes please," he told her and she sighed.. she put her fingers through her hair. she turned and looked at her friends.

"Can someone take my suitcase and leave it to my dressing room?"Charlotte asked. Becky nodded.

"I'll take it,  I don't have a suitcase,"she smiled.

"Charlotte, will you be all right?" asked Roman anxiously, while out of the corner of his eye he looked at Jake.

"Don't worry, Roman, I'll be all right," she smiled at him, stroking him on the arm. he smiled at her, trying to hide how disturbed he felt by Jake's presence.

"I'll see you later," he said and kissed her on the forehead while she smiled. Roman, Seth and Becky continued their way while Charlotte stayed behind with Jake.

"Let's go out and talk," she told him, and they headed to the exit of the arena.. Charlotte felt embarrassed. She didn't Like Jake being there. They went out into parking lot without speaking. Charlotte broke the silence.

"What are you doing here, Jake?"she asked him without concealing her annoyance.

"I wanted to see you, I missed you, Charlotte," he said as she rolled her eyes. she crossed her arms on her breast.

"I didn't miss you at all," she said, startling him.

"Charlotte," he said to her. he approached her and stroked her cheek. she abruptly removed his hand off her face

"Don't touch me," she told him aggressively.

"Charlotte, please. give us a second chance. "he told her, and she chuckled .

"I gave us more than two chances. Our marriage, Jake, is over. and I'm not willing to give us a second chance or any chance at all. I don't want to, either," she said to him in an icy tone.

"Charlotte, I love you," he said to her, and she laughed.

"Very good joke.. What's up, Jake? did Rick Flair promised  you something to get me back?"she asked him.. he was silent for a moment..

"Listen to me very carefully, Jake. I don't know and I don't care what Rick promised you to make me come back to you, but I won't. I've moved on and I'm fine. I feel free at last. I don't have to be locked up in a failed marriage with a failed husband. I don't need my father's confirmation anymore. I don't need it. I've done a lot of things myself. And I'm in love with someone else," she told him. he turned pale..
